The test is nothing to worry about, its like a minute long(sometimes less/more depending on how you are).

The video includes your speech, answering a random question on the table, and then the dexterity test. All within 5 minutes. It really is fine, just enjoy the day, its a wonderful facility.

What is the test? Carving chalk? Did you prepare for the test at all?

I actually thought this interview was more nerve wracking than my other ones lol. Loved the school though.
 
Hello everyone. Is anyone interviewing on November 6th ? Please let me know if you would like to share a room , or a cab , in order to save some money. 😉 . Also. I'm nervous about the interview. Being recorded is more nerve racking than anything else.

Does anyone know if Temple is still giving out pre-Dec interviews? From this thread it doesn't seem like there has been a whole lot.

I was part of their first interview group 2-3 weeks ago. I wouldn't worry yet. Maybe even send them an email giving them an update on your current situation (community service, hours, work,etc) expressing your interest.
 
For those of you freaking out about no more december invites... THERE ARE PLENTY!!! They have (as of today at noon) Oct 29th, 30, and several in Nov. Do you guys know if we are supposed to get an interview confirmation email about the date that we are supposed to attend?

When I interviewed there a month ago, they told me no email confirmation.

Thanks! I'm nervous, yet excited for this interview. I didn't expect to hear from this until maybe January.
 
For those that have interviewed, is it a 3-4 minute, videotaped interview? And if anyone can shed some light on this manual dexterity test, that'll be great!
 
Got an invite here two days ago. Plenty of pre-December interviews.

For those who have already interviewed--can I reasonably expect the day to end at 1:30pm, like the schedule suggests? I'm planning to catch a flight later on that day.
 
Hey guys, I submitted my app in late August and just received the supplemental request email from Temple. There was a problem receiving the request email from them, and finally got the email from them today. I contacted them literally at least 3-4 times for the secondary request email, and all they told me was I will receive the email once my AADSAS app is processed. I called them last week and they told me they sent me the secondary request email on Autust 27!!!! I don't know what happen..... It took me 2.5 months to receive the email again from Temple. Should I submit the secondary at this point? I know it's a bit too late, but want to know if I would have a chance if I submit the secondary this week.

That's a bummer. Submit it! You never know what can happen.

Well, we started a bit late, but all of us were done by 3pm. If you have to catch a flight, you can go first to do the video interview
 
Just confirmed my interview date for nov 19th. I dont know much about the school, if anyone can give over some helpful information that would be great! Is the video part separate from the interview or it is the interview, im just a little confused.

I interviewed there last week.

The interview is really different. 5 minute video interview with no one else talking the whole time. You should rehearse summarizing your 'statement' in about three minutes.
Then you pick up a random card off the table and its a really easy question, just answer that in about 30 seconds. That gives you at least a minute for the manual dexterity exercise, which is 25 little holes that you have to put pegs into.
The whole thing is really short compared to what I've experienced at other schools. It was nerve wracking for me just because I had originally thought it was a normal interview. If you rehearse what you'll say a few times on your own time you'll be fine!Good luck to all of you.

How do you rehearse before knowing what the card says?
 
You don't have to worry about the card, it's a really easy question you can answer right off the top of your head. Some people got 'what's your favorite pet?'

Rehearse the three minute statement beforehand
 
I got "describe your perfect vacation / getaway" it's something easy.


By the way, i rehearsed the first part, and I was so nervous that I said 60% of what I had rehearsed previously. It's really hard being on the spot in front of the camera , and remembering what you practiced

Same thing happened to me... I was told to smile as much as I could and that I would be fine (gosh, I hope so) lol
 
One of the students told me their classmate sang during the video. So can do whatever you want in those 3 minutes lol.
 
Looking at last years thread and previous ones, yes and no. Some people heard back a few days after the 1st. I REALLY want to go to this school and the suspense is killing me.

same here, Temple's my #1. Last year dec 1 fell on a sunday, so some of them heard on Dec 2 but then it dragged on until mid December...this entire next week my head will just be somewhere else 🙁
