I'm being serious. The people on the waitlist probably don't get much acceptances else where or none while those who actually get accepted first get multiple acceptances at other cheaper schools. So that should drop their seat
 
Wont be acceptances until minimum March 1st. Most likely mid-April.

Dude I was just trying to politely say you're pissing people off, but hey, you do you ️ for anyone who wants a different opinion, this is my third time applying and it's been different every time so stay patient and it'll work out!

Texas schools are only few hundred dollar deposits. So even if you deposit at all 3 Texas schools it's often times as much as the one deposit at OOS schools. The deposit for the d school in San Antonio Texas is $60 loll

That's why you drop your seat at Detroit mercy because they only care about money.
 
Let me explain things to you guys. There are only about 60 some dental schools which means not enough seats for anyone. Compared to medical schools who have hundreds of schools. So dental schools need to built a hundred more schools and that will solve all problems

And then comes over saturation of the dental field and no one can find jobs. A little over exaggerating on my part lol

Go to Detroit Mercy for undergrad, can confirm that this is how we felt the past 4 years.

Praying that they start accepting more people this week though because apparently Canadian schools release their decisions on the first. From previous years, a bunch of seats open up once some of the Canadian students drop their spot.

They just sent an email asking people to drop their seat and go to a different school so that they can accept people off the waitlist so I'm pretty sure there will be some acceptances soon
 
Received an email this morning asking about continued interest in remaining on the waiting list. Ive been on the waitlist since December and plan on staying there until I am told otherwise (ie offer) ^.^

It says underlined in bold just to email them if you are NOT interested in being on the alternate list.

Edit: two different emails are being sent out, so read them carefully

I did not reply. They just said to reply if you do not wish to remain on the alternate list (ie found another school/too expensive/whatever). I, for one, would like to stay there 🙂

No it says to reply if you want to confirm your spot on the list
 
This is what the email says about the alternate list. It is obvious you only should reply to stay on the alternate list if you first receive this email, then reply telling them you would like to stay on the list.

Again, what does it mean to be on the alternate list? Is that the same as waitlist?
 
You reply to CONFIRM your spot on the alternate list if you you JUST got on the list today.
If you were on the list before today, you ONLY reply if you don't want to stay on the list anymore.

Some people are getting mixed up.

At the interview tho they told us the waitlist was ranked based on high priority... and Dr Jeffers would make calls as spots open based on the order of the List. This email says the list isn't ranked..
