I got a reply for Ms Lozano yesterday that august 25th is filled up and i have to pick another date. Never got a reply after that.
 
Hey guys! I have my interview on Aug 25th at 8am, I am wondering if anyone wants to split an Airbnb? I'm coming in from California, send me a private message if you're interested!

I'm also planning on staying until Sunday to check out Detroit! Let me know if you want to meet up 🙂

They send you a link . You just need a working mic, webcam, and speakers really and they will just film you doing your interview.

Do we know the questions prior to recording? Or is it like an actual interview?

I just did mine. You don't know the questions prior, and I imagine the questions are much easier than the ones we'll get at the actual interview

So it's not like what people from the last cycle said, question --> 30 sec prep --> 1 min recording? And we will be recorded while we listen/read the question?

It's 45 seconds of prep with 1 minute to respond. No, you will not be recorded while preparing for the question.

I just did it right now. The questions weren't too bad but my nerves still got to me. Try to stay calm. I made it obvious I was nervous for the first one and then I had very similar answers for two of the next three questions, lol. I just hope this isn't weighed heavily. I definitely could've done better.

People have said that by the interview time it's not weighted as much. I think I totally blew mine cause I didn't prep well. Its just a small part of your application I think. Your actual interview is weighted much much heavier.

Careful about non-disclosure or stuff like that usually they don't let you share questions at any kind of interview.

Just wear a nice top or something that shows you're serious. If you want to be safe, since it is an interview, just wear what youd wear to an interview in person. I think as long as you look presentable in a business casual sense, youll be ok.
 
I don't have much experience with Uber or taxis. Do y'all think it's feasible to get an Uber or taxi at 7AM to drive a mere 2 miles from the hotel to campus?

yes. I got to Detroit a lot. The hotel has a taxi service or Uber is there all the time.

I usually go to The Henry in Dearborn, but since we're there for interviews i am going to search the best option and let you know.

Is it a bad idea to get a hotel near the airport, in terms of safety and traffic? The cheaper hotels seem to be around that area.
 
Finished the Kira interview today! Super duper easy, didn't even prep and think I did well! Questions were very straightforward.

Just finished the KIRA interview. Easy questions but I think my nerves got to me in some parts🙁 . Best advice to anyone is to be as relaxed as possible, no need to overthink this one.

Similar thing happened to me. Although all questions were pretty straightforward.

Exactly! The questions were very simple, which is why I advise to not overthink and just dive into the interview.

People from the previous application cycle had mentioned that they paid $100.00 for the background check. I have not received anything e-mail this regard. Have you guys paid any fee for the background check?

Usually background checks are after acceptance. I dont remember if I did one for UDMs interview though.
