I had hoped they would have confirmed our subforum by now.

I posted some people's complaints about the difficulty of searching for information in a 5000 post long multithread filled with side conversation (not that I'm complaining about that, I'm probably responsible for like 45% of it).

I haven't received an email. I sure am curious though. Looking back at last years waitlist thread they said that they didn't get a section email because UTSW didn't do sections, but the year before that they had the email not too long after match. someone should email them and ask 🙂

Actually, we don't have an emperor, dictator or president in Texas. We have no need. With Chuck Norris here to maintain the rule of law, no one and I mean no one would even dare to break wind when and where it isn't appropriate for fear of a swift roundhouse kick to the face.

I concur. Its very different heat 🙂 One of my sorority sisters is from Midland, and she says that here in CS and the Houston area, you can literally eat the air its so thick and humid

That might be true. But oven or sauna, would you really want it any other way? Winter was too long for Tejas this year [I think I saw snow 3 or 4 times 😕 ], and I'm now ready for another relentless summer. I personally believe that college life forces mid-summer apartment moves in order to weed out and/or make stronger the weak and foreign among us. Bless the heat, and bring it back soon please. Heat is conducive to river trips down the Comal or Guad; I am counting down the days until I can go back.

Now the mosquitos, I could do without those....

You can eat West Texas air too...or at least all the airborne dirt. West Texas, one of the few places on earth that it snows mud. Works for us though as it keeps most of the metrosexual folk 300 miles away. Wannabe metrosexuals are harrassed for sport out here. I have a feeling all my past transgressions are about to catch up with me. I recently started drinking Heineken, learning about sushi and isolating myself from my farmer friends in preparation for the "Integration".😎

But on a more Texas-related note: avoid sushi on mondays/tuesdays if you are in mid to west texas. Weekly shipments seem to come in on Wednesdays and Thursdays from what I know. Not that there's anything wrong with week old sushi ... 🙂 now the sashimi, that takes a true urbanite.

Spicy tuna rolls are where it's at. I agree. I lived in The Netherlands and even Heineken straight from the factory in Amsterdam doesn't taste as good as Sapporo.

I like philly rolls.

I also like these rolls they serve at the Sushi Hana here in Baltimore called Mojo Rolls, where I think its some spicy tuna and some other fish wrapped and then the outside deep fried and then topped with crabmeat.

Sashimi is nice, I like tuna and salmon.

how much wasabi do you guys like in your soy sauce? I've seen some people make theirs completely light brown almost yellowish and i cant stand that much wasabi, i only put enough to equalize the taste of soysauce.

As for wasabi, I really don't use that much. But then again, I don't like to use a lot of soy sauce either. That Mojo roll sounds amazing... to bad it's in Baltimore and not Tx.
