That wasn't exactly and the only thing she said, which concerned me. She initially said you seemed really excited about your role, THEN posited it could be 3P.
Definitely know plenty of packs that would never have thought to kill someone in the absence of such a statement, and even saying someone is 3P might not trigger a NK early, if they have higher priority targets, even from Super Villageness alone might be higher than a D1 spec about a 3P, and being sussed as a 3P could even keep you alive for a bit.
Now that we're talking about it, seems weird of genny of all people to sow the 3P paranoia D1 based on nothing. Also wondering if she's just trying to capitalize on the distrust of you from the last few games.
The more I think about it the more wolfy it seems. I'm just torn on if wolfy genny would be that obvious or if it's just a sign of village genny not censoring what she thinks/says on thread.
Mmmm. Noted.
Am I allowed to sheep a noob's reads? Because I find zenge's genny case compelling
Want to keep this Z/Dubz/genny interaction in mind.
I'm reading April neutral. I'm not reading anyone strongly as a wolf. But I'm also suspect of some people who have parked their votes outside of any consensus, and without much to back it. Specifically Dina on MSP and Sloth on Alley. Seems like an attempt to fly under the radar.
I didn't think there was consensus on anyone yet. Are you seeing one I'm missing?
By consensus, I actually meant multiple votes on one person. April has 4 and Vis has 2 by my tally.
I also left off Genny on you, Kras on Dubz, Roro on shorty, and shorty on Kras, because I didn't take them too seriously.
I'm still confused by this exchange. Z, can you express further what feels different about Dina and Sloth's votes? They were made before there was anyone with multiple votes, so I don't see what you're seeing about trying to fly under the radar. I'm particularly interested because I'm not sure how to feel about Sloth and would like to think about his posts from some more angles.
Also dubz enthusiasm is marked.
Otherwise I'm just seeing chatter and jokes so far. POE is broad...
Noting that kras also finds Dubz's enthusiasm noteworthy and maybe hinting it's AI? I don't know why else she would comment on it in this post. Feeling like either kras is trying to back genny up or maybe genny's feeling that Dubz's enthusiasm could be AI isn't as out-there as I thought.
Leaning w/w/v or v/v/w on kras/genny/Dubz
That feeling about kras is weak, just based on this post. I do have a strong feeling that genny and Dubz aren't packmates, though, and I'm suspicious enough of each to think there's a wolf between them. Dubz's response to my post asking about the posts that concerned me makes me feel much better about her, and I'm feeling worse and worse about genny (mainly for the same reasons Z has pointed out and her responses/lack of actual responses to his pushing her), so leaning Dubz village for now.
Apocalypse. Noob game I was ALMOST misyeeted like 3 times, but I was night killed finally. And then during breadsticks I was a wolf and them yeeting me won the game for the village
Thanks for clarifying! I'm going back and forth on whether this post is a good sign about alley's affiliation. On the one hand, she could have kept quiet (especially because I was not asking her directly), not pointed out that 50% of the times she's been yeeted it was correct, and went along with the idea of her being easy misyeet bait. On the other, it feels a bit off that she emphasized that yeeting her won breadsticks for village - part of villaging is avoiding being misyeeted, and this doesn't quite feel in line with that goal, almost like she's encouraging us (at least not discouraging us) to yeet her this game. I could see a wolf eagerly taking the chance to point it out, looking for village points for transparency. I'm going to say NAI for now because I can see reasons why it might be a good or bad strategy as either village or wolf.
These are all very good points
This post is raising my eyebrows a bit given how I feel about genny. There were pages of long, analytical posts by this point, and the one you find most notable for raising good points is 30 words including 2 reads without any reasoning, 1 speculation about Dubz being 3p based on enthusiasm (this speculation really doesn't read genuine to me. I've never gotten the impression from Dubz that she would be more enthusiastic if she were 3p - I'm pretty sure she's talked on previous threads about how much fun vanilla/non-factional/basics/mountainous roles and games can be. Cray pointing out that wolf-genny often has role-hunting on the brain makes me like this speculation even less),
I concur. I'm new to the game so I don't have previous game behavior on which to compare but it def seemed over-explainy. "I am not a wolf for these very important reasons. See! See!"
And what reasons did I give, exactly? I feel fine about people calling out my joke vote if they feel like I’m overexplaining - that’s subjective and if they’re getting that feeling then they should call it out - but this post feels off. Nowhere in that post am I trying to provide reasons I’m not a wolf; it’s a salt vote. Did you not read the post and just see others calling out an “overexplainy” post, get excited about an opportunity to jump on a misyeet wagon, and sheep on? It feels like you’re less concerned with the actual contents of my post and more with how you can use it.
Feeling worse about DrRoRo. Mentioning you’re new in your first post is one thing and wasn’t bothering me, but continuing to qualify subsequent posts with playing up being new is starting to get worrying. DrRoRo has now hedged both posts in which she said someone was suspicious with "but I'm new so idk".
unyeet AM
yeet vis
Could also go for Dina or April. Too many noobs (+MsP and Kras) have said too little to be readable.
What changed between these two posts to move April into your “yeet” list?
What about Dina are you reading as sus?
Ya know? At first, I read what you'd posted about sleeping, getting some breakfast and coffee, re-reading the thread and reassessing your reads.
And I was all "Okay, that's reasonable." And then it sat there, in the air, like a fart in an elevator, and it occurred to me you didn't really answer the question.
As far as I can tell your stated reasoning for being willing to yeet April at a moments go is "you read the thread", and for Dina it's "she's been lurking".
I have to say, for being super basic questions of "why are you willing to yeet them suddenly" I don't really feel like you've given any insight to your thought process.
Already mentioned above, but this exchange is very interesting and I want to bookmark it here.

I don't love a post seemingly pulling reads out of thin air. However, it doesn't feel like it's outside of Sloth's village range and could be explained by busyness. Still, if you're too busy to analyze posts then I don't really get how you're not too busy to get a read on everyone. If you did take the time to fully think these out, why not post a bit of reasoning? If you didn't, why post reads you're not confident of? Feels like maybe being more concerned with how others see you than with actually wolfhunting.
I wrote the above paragraph before I caught up with the thread and saw Sloth posting more reasoning. I have to think more about whether his reasons feel genuine, but I definitely feel better about him than when I wrote this. Still, I can't help but wonder why some people jumped a couple categories without an explanation, and I don't love that his first explanations were only the ones he was pushed on - again, looks like being more concerned with appeasing people than actual reads.
To me Genny is sounding the same as she always does, every game I have played with her she has been village. With the style she’s playing, she currently doesn’t have me raising any eye brows at the moment.
To be fair re-reading my notes Dina could hover weak village as well, to me their vote isn’t very significant at the moment sine MsP hasn’t posted, but they haven’t said anything that has particularly raised any suspicion for me
Dubz isn't village, but good luck yeeting her if she's a wolf.
Wow this post is... quite something. Noted.

alley (esp if genny flips w)
DrRoRo
Dubz (weak, only if genny flips v)
kras (weak, if genny flips w/Dubz flips v)
I won't explicitly lay out my village reads yet. Most others are neutral and my few village reads have been read as villagey by others. Last game's dead chat pointed out that having an easy list of reads with a small number of people consistently showing up in village piles makes it easy for wolves to identify and target the most villagey players. I tend to be too candid and I'm trying to work on thinking harder about when info might actually be more helpful to wolves than village before I post.
