There's another one I like to pressure and get a read on early, I often lump mayo and visc and sloth in terms of baseline sketchiness and smarts and they often have a similar tone to me.

I agree with Dubz that Visc's post is somewhat sketch and has now surpassed Sloth in sketchness for now.

I'm reading April neutral. I'm not reading anyone strongly as a wolf. But I'm also suspect of some people who have parked their votes outside of any consensus, and without much to back it. Specifically Dina on MSP and Sloth on Alley. Seems like an attempt to fly under the radar.

To me Genny is sounding the same as she always does, every game I have played with her she has been village. With the style she’s playing, she currently doesn’t have me raising any eye brows at the moment.
To be fair re-reading my notes Dina could hover weak village as well, to me their vote isn’t very significant at the moment sine MsP hasn’t posted, but they haven’t said anything that has particularly raised any suspicion for me

I think it's a move Sloth might be trying to capitalize on. Logically, having someone read you village means nothing about the reader's affiliation, but people tend to like to side with those who are reading them village.

These were just my initial impressions from my catch up, I did have way more village reads than usual. I will work on re-categorizing some of the villagers into a possible weak village, re-reading some things now (again) and I am already having some second thoughts. I think I have a solid opinion, and then I re-read the thread and things always end up changing

I agree it does seem a little odd, but I also feel that sometimes people get pushed too hard for reads and then get pushed too hard for explanations of those reads and then get chastised about it all. Which is why I said probing too hard isn't always helpful to the village.

Alley: seems to come off very village-like to me. I am going to keep her there until otherwise noted, more of the “innocent until proven guilty” tactic
AM: I usually always have AM as village due to how active they are, they are always actively wolf hunting, they haven’t said anything to set off any wolfy sense to me quite yet, I am also using an innocent until proven guilty tactic with them.
Cray: I have liked the feeling of pretty much all of her posts so far, even though she harped on my original vote for quite a while, her strategy seems village like
Sunshine: they seem to be actively wolf hunting and wanting to protect the village especially with her post recent posts, but I got this vibe from her even before

Weak Village:
I mostly have these guys in a pile together becasue they give me mostly village vibes I’m just not totally convinced yet, more in a separate category for me to keep an eye on, but not currently on my radar as being sus


I usually feel quite a bit of pressure to give reads even if I’m not 100% confident in them, which I never really am, but pretty much in every single game I have played I have fallen into the pressure trap and then struggle with explainations, and every game people think I am wolfy

I’m not too fond of Genny’s recent behavior, but I also don’t know what to think about the bandwagon that has formed on her, I am less inclined to yeet visc since they reappeared with some pretty decent content

I mean I know that’s where your vote is now, but it seems like there’s more of a general “Sloth is sus” vibe happening. It might be easier to convince people to join you on that vote if you’re looking to self prez.

if it makes you feel better, Ive been a vegetarian for like 8 or 9 years and I have IBS, so when I have any animal product cross contamination it gives me diarrhea. My husband who is vegan was eating some fancy brand ramen noodles tonight and had me try a bite. I was like oh they have a nice spice. Thats great because I've been missing ramen noodles and needed a vegetarian friendly version. Now, knowing my husband is vegan (more restrictive) you would think I don't have to cross check foods to be vegetarian friendly. However, also knowing my husband is not good at attention to detail or research before acting, I start to second guess if this soup is okay. I check the package and see in the middle of the ingredients, in bold, Beef marrow, Beef stock, Beef fat. 😐 I say babe it has beef. He doesn't believe me. He comes and I point to it on the package. He's in disbelief. I walk away like babe you of all people just tricked me into eating beef product. He looks at the label again and says 'I can't find it now. Is it there? I don't see beef anymore." I come and point at it again. He runs to the bathroom and throws up (he had eaten a whole bowl). And I have diarrhea. 😑

we're not getting married until after vet school, because as you can guess from my savings account reveal, the current reception would be "meet us in the taco bell parking lot". BUT i am one of those girls who has been planning my wedding since i was 8, and i want to go to the santa cruz mountains (a 3-4 hour drive for most of the guest list, a 12 hour plane ride for everyone else) and have a beutiful redwoods ceremony. wood bands totally fit that vibe and i might need to steal that idea for Tim's band (i am high maintenance and will want indian gold lol)

Basically, was browsing dresses online for a friend who was already engaged. Saw this dress and sent it to her and she was like lol no, but YOU should try that one (except Z hadn’t proposed yet), so I bookmarked it and moved on with my life. Z proposed a couple months later so I started looking into the dress on the early side because it was from an old collection and I wasn’t sure it would still exist for all that long.

Ended up calling every store in Minnesota that carried that designer (as an introvert, I can’t emphasize enough how much I hate phone calls lol), every store in California where my parents live, and ultimately contacted the designer directly in Barcelona, where they told me there was ONE sample dress in the entire US. The MN stores could order the dress for me, but I wouldn’t be able to try it on unless I went to the one sample dress in NYC. So I wrote it off in my head and was like meh, oh well. I hadn’t been back home at that point in 4 or 5 years, and flying in to try a dress seemed a little much to me, but I also wasn’t going to order it sight unseen, so I was going to just shrug it off and move on with my life.

And then my mom texted me that she’d found round trip airfare to NY for $87 and she really thought I should go try it because she thought I would always wonder about it later. She’s persuasive and I’m impulsive sometimes soooo I booked it and then proceeded to keep checking in with the store to make sure they still had it. I may have gone overboard on this because when I got there, they brought me back to show it to me before they even finished checking me in 😂

Anyway, so I went to class that morning, flew to NYC for a 2:30 appointment, and then flew back to MN - but because my mom wasn’t going to fly to NYC for a dress appointment, I had a friend meet me there and we video called my mom. We only got good enough reception to do it at the front of the store, so I was basically standing in the display window, and my mom kept commenting that the dress was too big and I needed a smaller one (bless her, sample sizes don’t come in supershorty size). She also wanted to see the back of the dress, and we had to clamp the front to be able to pull the back tight enough, and I accidentally might have flashed some construction workers for a second there 😳.

Flew home and ordered the dress, it came in and has since been discontinued - I got one of the last ones they made! And it is perfect in every way and was worth it.

Hi hello, just wanted to let everyone know I’m still alive. I was at work for a long time and then I watched the super bowl. I am currently drunk, because I am drowning my sorrows since the chiefs lost. I will get caught up on the thread tomorrow when I’m sober.

I drunkenly told my boyfriend most of the wedding stuff from the thread (btw Anna I’m so happy for you!!!) and he said “no internet friends will be invited to our wedding unless you know them in real life” and now I’m lowkey insulted. He was going to be my plus one on the hypothetical bus road trip to Anna’s wedding but now I’m rethinking that lmao.

I really wanted to give Lainey some benefit of the doubt because she's so new, but going back through her posts, I have some questions. Many of her posts aren't really wolf hunting as much as they are just agreeing with what other people say. I wanted to chalk that up to being a noob and not being confident in making her own reads, but after a certain point, it just started to feel a little strange to me because she never actually gives reasoning behind it beyond "reasons" or no explanation at all.


Then there's the back and forth with AM. I initially didn't think anything of this and assumed Lainey was carrying over salt from the previous game, where AM killed her early on, so I didn't think there was anything more than that behind this quote:

This is another example of her sort-of bandwagoning onto other's ideas - in this case, the misunderstanding of what AM meant by self-prezzing. Again, by itself, not necessarily something that pings me, but because it's a consistent pattern, I start to wonder a little more.

This was early in things getting a little out of control. Again, I've been reading Lainey as fairly neutral until this morning's revelation, but I'm starting to have second thoughts. I'd like to see more from her today with her own reads and interpretations/explanations (beyond saying really general things like "a few reasons").

She said "definitely" so many times I wonder if it's a wolf subconscious make up for lies kinda thing.

Funny enough, this is the exact same argument I used as a wolf trying to hide Kras in the last game after she killed AM (that someone was trying to frame Kras). Interesting that it's getting used here as well

And this is why wolf NK analysis can be limited, as it can be deeply WIFOM and affected by many many things us in the uninformed majority have no way of knowing.

I see the choice as pretty NAI for Lainey. I'm using other factors to determine wolfiness. Shorty made good points.

They say whenever a wolf flips look at the last 3 on the wagon, it's 90% at least one wolf on it. This isn't real science but an aphorism from mafiascum I'm probably misquoting.

Re: everything else well I knew if genny flipped wolf that I'd likely be up to be yeeted next. This is all WIFOM but I'mma say it anyways - wolf!Dina would have never put a vote down 10 minutes before close on a villager when one more person would have tied it (and we all saw what happens when kd games tie) and getting two more people in 10 minutes when almost all votes were down was impossible. Even with all that Ace has said, I'm inclined to think he's just a really nooby villager who isn't paying close attention. I think if he was a wolf the rest of the pack would have told him to shut up and say something more sensical instead. I guess there's the possibility that they've given up on him and will let him be bait, lol, but after losing one of the pack already, I don't think they would take that risk

On the other hand, tunneling is some wolves' fave party trick. Gets them out of having to make up too many lies about too many people, make too many enemies slinging shade, etc etc. Ask me how I know lol

Last night there was a “Sloth is sus” sentiment bubbling up.

I asked Genny why she was trying to get the “Vis is Sus” train rolling again as a means of self prez, instead of the more effervescent “Sloth is sus” sentiment that was present at the time, and persistent now, to which she replied:

Right now Sloth is at the top of my sus list. I didn't really get a satisfactory evidence-based answer yesterday regarding why certain reads changed. A lot of her reads are concerning given the results of the flip.

I'm not sure what to think of Dina. Her vote change last night worries me, but otherwise I usually find myself nodding along to her posts. Hopefully not being pocketed...

Definitely keeping an eye on Lainey for possibly making a last-minute Genny bus.

Alley wasn't worrying me yesterday but I'm keeping an eye on her, especially because I village read her for an entire game the last time she was wolf.

Ace, for now, I think is harmless but I want to see what else he comes up with.

Zenge is giving me pretty clear village vibes. He started the wagon on Genny and rode it all the way to its successful wolf yeet.

Remember guys, agreeing with someone and that biasing you to thinking they are village, is not "pocketing" or "being pocketed." It's good to be aware of emotional biases, and agreeing with someone can create one for sure, no matter their affiliation.

There have been now two (that ive recorded) statements from genny that seemed to defend another. Defending cray and sloth. Genny said in D1 that they felt cray was "fine" and then they stated they dont find sloth very wolfy. I feel like I will be focusing on cray and sloth for a bit as soon as i catch up.

Definitely keep in mind that wolves are going to village read some villagers. The vets know that's one of the best ways to pocket me. Also I'm reactive so they don't always want to get into a w/v fight with me, and direct w/v interactions are one of the best ways I catch wolves (when I do catch them). Also village reading villagers is a great way for wolves to sow distrust on a flip, so if they're good they will always do this. Genny will always village read a few players that are village when she wolfs.

Also I was sussing genny in my posts, and she likely wanted to avoid the appearance of retaliation. I used to be some of the favorite wolf bait because I was highly yeetable. I still feel that way but I think the wolf vets have moved away from that with the site meta and prefer to leave me to the noobs. I think I am sketch if you don't know me, and it looks better for them I think not to push it.

I considered all this which was actually part of some of my sus of her.

Usually there's a grand total of 20-25% of the roster non-village, combo of wolves and chaos/3P if present. But not an ironclad rule. Every game I get out my calc and use 0.25 x roster size to get a guess.

okay some tinfoil here before I actually read/react catch up....

-Cray in breadsticks said to me in wolf chat to avoid being anywhere close to a tie
-Cray in emoji defended her tie that got 2 villagers yeeted by saying it was an accident and that if she were a wolf she would pay much closer attention to avoiding ties
-Cray yesterday sat on a Visc vote with Genny, and then unyeeted Visc with a few minutes to go and begged someone else to move to April with her to avoid a tie
-I didn't put Sloth into wolfy until after yeet writeup. I was previously neutral on her and thought she could help yeet Genny if we needed. Sloth and Cray were active and on and posting in the minutes leading up to yeet.
-I posted after Genny yeet about Genny saying Cray was okay and Dina was lurking like a wolf and wondering how we should think of those now
-Cray dismissed those Genny remarks

...... I think I need to move Cray to ??? as I check more and hear others' thoughts about it

AM already pointed out that genny is pretty careful/good with her on thread w/w interactions and she is good at constructing her reads of other players to be a whole lotta WIFOM. You definitely have better luck finding packmates from my comments when I wolf, than from genny.

Focus more on the players you KNOW are telling the truth, and ones you highly suspect are, and BIG GRAIN of salt for the ones you unequivocally know to be liars.

It's a fair tinfoil for you to consider, my actions yesterday don't look awesome in hindsight, like a lot of villager actions. But it's still early game and we haven't had the sort of nasty surprises with unexpected flip results that necessitates considering me when I think they're way wolfier players on the board right now. I'll help you yeet them.

This really rubs me wrong.

Not sure what is so profound about this thought that it's good evidence of wolfhunting/village-ness. I mean, it's a good point but still.

It's extremely easy for wolves to tell lies that make sense and the truth, because they know a lot more about what is going on in the game than we do. Don't fall into that trap.
