Never been to father's office. I live further north and tend to frequent Blue Palms, Verdugo Bar, Mohawk Bend and The Surly Goat.

And the once prestigious UC-Davis thread has deteriorated into talk of debauchery and booze... :hardy:

I have lived in the Willows since my first year, and plan on staying in my apartment unit for all four years. I absolutely LOVE it. I posted about it on the fb page, but I'll quickly re-iterate here . . . The complex is very quiet and my unit is in a beautiful spot within the complex; weeping willow trees and grass right outside my front door. I use the small work out room regularly. Maintenance has always fixed things the very same day!!! A few vet students live in the complex, and we all seem very happy. PM me/fb message me if you have any specific questions. But to summarize, I can only say good things and would never consider moving to a different spot!

Great to know. I'm still intrigued by the possibility of getting a house in Woodland. But your endorsement of The Willows makes me pretty certain that if the house doesn't pan out, I will likely focus my attention there. Thanks. 🙂
 
Can anyone confirm that all we had to do to accept our offer was to press "accept" on the website that was linked to the acceptance e-mail? I did receive a confirmation e-mail informing me that I have accepted the "appointment". I keep scaring myself by thinking the process seemed to easy to be finalized.

Also to have those vaccinations. Already went to my Ped and got my records. Just waiting for my student id!
 
Oh and that rabies 3 series. But you can wait until you are at school on that one.
 
I'll just give myself the rabies while I'm working at the vet clinic. They'll never notice. 😉 ---- Dog comes in for a vaccine --- "A little for you, a little for me..."

TW, What's a "Ped"? Do we we need other vaccines other than rabies? And can we get them at school or just the rabies ones at school?

Also, we need to maintain a 2.5 cumulative and required science GPA. Ohhhh, senioritis.

Hahaha. I totally almost had a heart attack when I got Kim's email thinking they were emailing me telling me my acceptance was a mistake. HAHAAHA. Not funny. =/
 
Is anyone else still looking for roommates? I'm getting kind of anxious about the housing situation. We only have, like, 4 months until school!!!:scared:

I am 🙁 It is harder when not physically there...doesnt help that I'll be across the Atlantic all next month.

And what did I do this AM? Spent hours looking and photographing someone ELSE'S housing in SoCal. I felt productive, and then realized im still SOL.

I keep finding houses for rent, but then finding people to fill rooms is more stress and I hate signing a lease solo..

And then my dad is thinking of buying a house, but if he waits any longer then itl be stress again... AAAHHHH

Yes. Apparently my friend who lives in Buena park had a roommate who ended up working for Disney cruise line, so the girl's bf took over her room. Turns out he has borderline personality disorder and HAS to make all the decisions, even though his name isn't on the Lease.

You think that's bad? I want to buy a house or condo, but I haven't had income for almost two years!!! 😱 No income, no home loan...

I need a place to live too!!!! Ah. I keep finding places but then have to like, say I'm sorry, becuase I'm not going to commit until I see it, which won't be until May! :O

I wouldn't worry too much about finding roommates, you guys. Judging from the Facebook page, there's still a mad dash for housing. I'm looking at 3, 4, and 5 bedrooms and might already have one roommate, which means that I still need 1-3 more!
 
Anyone else with a current My UC Davis account having a hard time logging in? I get directed to MyAdmissions for some reason....
 
Just logging into MyUCDavis. I can still check my e-mail on my phone. It directs me to MyAdmissions and says I do not have an application and then says I already have an account but it won't let me log in. If it doesn't work tomorrow, I'll call IT. Just wondering if I'm the only one.

Just tried this, it is doing the same for me. Maybe it is because they are putting us into the system all over again starting tomorrow?
 
It might be an issue from undergrad acceptances being sent out. Hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow....
 
I got it, but I went to UC Davis for undergrad. E-mail just said that my ID was the same as for undergrad.
 
I just got it, but can't create a computing account. I am getting the same message as CorporateFatCat. I did not attend Davis for undergrad.
 
I was having the same problem as CFC so I called IT. They told me to check my e-mail directly rather than through MyUCDavis, but I already have a computing account so I don't know if that will help you. I would just call IT tomorrow. They are really helpful/answered immediately when I called today.
 
I receive a prompt that says "You are not yet a student" when I try to log in with my student ID. How rude!! :diebanana:
 
I got the same message as August. I called IT and they said that it will take the system a few days to change us from applicant to admitted student. Then we should be able to set up our accounts by going to fullaccount.ucdavis.edu

And I was so excited...

I also called IT. Those poor, poor IT guys. Guess we will just have to obsessively check the website for a couple more days.

Did anyone else panic a little?
 
Sorry! Maybe it was just an easy fix because I only graduated in December so my UCDavis account is still in the system. They are usually pretty good over in IT, don't panic!
