VAgirl - Does Davis have a program for our fancy new computers similar to the Virtual Canine Anatomy program at CSU people are talking about on the forums?

I thought I remembered hearing something about using our pcs in anatomy lab to visualize 3D dissections during interview orientation?? Or did I just make that up?

Hmm...well, there's an awesome website called K9 osteology, which is great for when you're doing bones.
http://mediaserver.vetmed.ucdavis.edu/secure-media/courses/vmd401a/K9osteomenu.swf There are also a few programs preloaded on you PC that have anatomy of the carpus, tarsus, etc. I've never used them, though. (Go under Start Menu, All Programs, SVM, and scroll down to it). Finally, I know Ken (the super awesome anatomy lab guy) is working on making some prosection videos that will be posted online along with the static labeled pictures of prosections he's done. Don't know if those will be ready for you guys or not, though. But that's pretty much all I can think of. Maybe other Davis students can think of things I'm missing. According to Dr. Kasper (who is the main antomy prof and rocks), there used to be lots of programs they used, but they're in really old software and were not updated...
I accepted my awards and and saw that our bills came in. Do our bills automatically get paid from the awards and then the rest deposited in the account we gave for direct deposit our do we need to facilitate that?
The awards automatically get disbursed to the school, assuming you've done your FAFSA, Promissory Note, accepted awards, etc. Then I think they automatically direct deposit it to you, except I think that they may not be able to do the very first disbursal via direct deposit (or maybe that was just for some people who got their direct deposit info in too late...?). But generally, you've got the right idea.
What is Viper? How are people getting notes, lab assignments ect?
The website you'll use the most, hands down, is CERE
http://cere.vetmed.ucdavis.edu/, which is where your syllabi, course notes, lectures, etc. will be posted.
