I got an email for an interview for the St. Augustine campus on March 16!! Anyone else?!

My stats are:
Overall GPA:3.57
Pre-Req: I’m not too sure honestly, but I’m thinking near my overall, possibly a bit higher .
GRE: 149 both sections and 4.0 Writing

How is everyone feeling/preparing? I’m waitlisted at 2 other schools so I’m really nervous! I really want to nail this interview!
I am interviewing at the Austin campus on March 16th. I feel good. I'll start preparing for interview early March and during Spring Break. Good luck to you! Congrats on getting an interview.

Submitted my application on Tuesday for the September start in Miami and have an interview scheduled for Feb 16. Can anyone provide any insight aside from it being a group interview?
Thanks!

Hi! I have an interview at the Miami campus next week for the Summer 2018 start date so I can let you know how it goes 🙂

Just got an interview to San Marcos on March 16th at 10:15am! Anyone else? 🙂 See you there!

Got an interview for 2/16 wooooo

Does anyone know how the assign the dates?

J DPT posted on 1/22 that he has a 3/18 interview. But I woke up this morning with a 2/16 invite. Is earlier better?

I have schedule conflicts and was offered 3/16, but are there consequences?

I believe jakune and I are interviewing at the San Marcos campus, and J DPT and yourself might be interviewing at the Austin campus?

Mine is San Marcos as well.
So are there consequences for rescheduling?

Also just got an interview for 3/16 for San Marcos. Does Anyone go to the school currntly/had an interview already that can give some insight on the school? I'm already accepted into another school and I am debating to go the interview or not. Thanks!

I just received an interview invitation for San Marcos Campus on Feb. 16th. Any know how to find interview help? I also am looking for some advice. I was offered admission to MGH IHP in Boston and accepted my position, but was emailed today about this interview. I live in San Diego at the moment with my Fiance who is in the Coast Guard, so St. Augustine would be SO MUCH closer to him, but the program looks to be more expensive than MGH. I don't know what to do.

Same. I don't know what to do. I was planning on driving home to Boise for a while on the 9th with my mom, but now we may have to reschedule her flight and time off work.

Are you an applicant for the Austin program? And if so, flex or on-campus?

Could everyone post when they applied? I'm worried because I haven't heard back and I'm trying to gauge whether it's because when I applied.

Hey Cooper.

I have an interview 2/16 at the USA San Marcos campus and I submitted 10/16. Chelsea didnt pass my application and submit for committee review until 12/29 though.

I submitted my application on 10/09, got a confirmation email on 10/24, and received an interview invitation today. Best of luck!

My adviser submitted my application on October 18th, 2017 and I just heard back about my interview yesterday for San Marcos. I wouldn't stress too much!

Received an interview date of 2/16/18 at San Marcos Campus, and I submitted my application around early October.

My advisor submitted my application October 15th and I received an interview on Jan. 25th for Austin campus!

Did you have your interview yet by chance?

Anybody interviewing at the Miami campus on February 16th?

Did you have your interview yet by chance?
Yes! It began with an orientation where they told us a little about the school and the program. Both OT and PT applicants were there and they separated us into two groups. One group took a campus tour while the other group did their interviews. The groups were either 2 or 3 people per 1 interviewer. My interview was just me and another applicant being interviewed by a faculty member. Afterwards they had lunch for us and an opportunity for Q&A. Hope this helps!

I received an application for Austin, TX and they asked us to write back to confirm our interview by February 5th. Does anyone know if Jill Jennings (who sent the email) is an administrative assistant or Dr. Jill Jennings? I would like to address her accordingly in the email. Thank you!!

Your situation is very similar to mine. I graduated from UCSD. I got accepted to MGH IHP. I flew out to MGH before the deadline to check out the program. It is nothing special IMO. Cold during winters, VERY expensive. The curriculum is something to be aware of... you are the guinea pigs of the new curriculum. They are changing the schedule as they go along which is no bueno for me. That being said, the USA San Marcos curriculum is also being changed and you are also the guinea pigs. You are using a 50/50 hybrid model of online/real life interaction for USA. I just interviewed for the summer 2018 start date. Fortunately... I got accepted to AT Still University which I will be going to regardless if I get into USA San Marcos.

For your situation, go to USA>MGH. Being close to your Fiance would seem like a no-brainer and the #1 reason for me if I were in your situation. Plus I believe USA > MGH in terms of campus, weather, and cost. Hope this helps. DM if you need help with interview for USA.

Thanks for your help. I'll have to wait for the interview to hear first hand about the USA curriculum, but the hybrid model isn't quite what I was looking for. I believe I do much better in a classroom. I know MGH isn't a typical lecture style either, but I like the idea of the four week courses. I still am waiting to hear back from Idaho State. I am from Idaho, and still a resident, so it would be under $46k for the entire program. I have a big decision to make, just have to wait until all of my options are laid out.

I hope wherever you go you are happy and successful. When I went to MGH I sat down with a professor 1 on 1 and asked her about the program. Essentially if you can not see yourself working in group settings on a regular basis then don't go to MGH since that is most of the curriculum. For me, I know undergraduate group settings have always been toxic for me in terms of productivity since I would find myself doing a lot, if not most of the work. So I find myself learning best in the traditional style of lecture and individual study with group sessions sprinkled in there if needed. You gotta find what works for you. Again, Good Luck!

Has anyone found any threads or just information on what the interview is like at the Austin campus?

I posted about my experience in the summer thread if you want to check it out. I interviewed there this past Saturday for the Flex program.

I just went backed and look at your post! That helped give me a little bit more clarity on what to expect! During the group interview did you ever feel like you were fighting to have time to get your answers out, or did it seem like everyone got a fairly equal amount of time to talk?

Nope, no fighting over time whatsoever. The faculty were very diligent about allocating enough time and speaking opportunities to each person. I never felt like I was being rushed or cut off either.

I've been having mock interviews with family and friends answer questions like
Why PT
Strengths and weaknesses
A time I went above any beyond
A time I put someone else's needs in front of mine
most/least favorite class in college
Why this school
where do i see myself in 10 years
What's my greatest accomplishment.

Then I timed myself to see how much I could cover in 15 minutes with brief yet detailed and thorough responses. Does anyone have other recommendations on how to prepare? Question types that were not listed above?

Would

Does anyone know how many people get interviews?

Alright guys I’ve been following this thread and Juan Saldana emailed me today asking about if I was still interested in applying to the program. I said yes and he said that he will be in contact about the next steps. Just wanted to know if anyone heard back in regards to their application of the fall 2018 st Augustine campus location

I applied for the fall term at st Augustine. I’m assuming that they didn’t have interviews for my term yet if you applied for the summer cohort?

Im applying at San Marcos, so it may be a little different. But I know that my interview date will have a mix of summer/fall cohort applicants.

Do any of you know when the fall cohort would start? I feel like I remember hearing it was in September.

I recently had my interview for the September start at the Miami campus. Any questions don’t hesitate to contact me!
