Hello! First time poster, long time lurker. I was wondering if any of you know how I am supposed to go about declining my offer to attend UPenn. My acceptance letter only mentions what I am supposed to do if I choose to attend UPenn (mail in the $500 deposit and technical standards form). I'm 100% committed to attending Ohio State so I want to let UPenn know asap so that they can offer my seat to someone on the waitlist. UPenn is my in-state school so it will be extra awkward for me to call them to decline their offer. Do you think it would be acceptable decline by email?

I wonder if that means that we would have already received an invite for one of those days if there's only 2 or 3 left. Don't they usually send an invite a few weeks before the actual interview?I called admissions last week, and she notified me that there still are potentially 2-3 interview days left. Does anyone have experience getting interviewed this late in the game?
I emailed Admissions last week and was told that *everyone* will hear by the end of March. I would imagine that those offered the last interview dates would hear, the latest, by mid-month?...I wonder if that means that we would have already received an invite for one of those days if there's only 2 or 3 left. I just got my rejection email from UPenn (like 5 minutes ago). C'est la vie.I emailed Admissions last week and was told that *everyone* will hear by the end of March. I would imagine that those offered the last interview dates would hear, the latest, by mid-month?...
Ugh. Me too. I have one more school to hear from...![]()
Ugh, me too. I have NCSU to hear from (my IS)... those letters went out yesterday... Best of luck!I have one more school to hear from...![]()
Best of luck! I should hear from AVC (my Alamo) very soon. This whole process is cruel and unusual lol Funny thing, I almost didn't even apply to UPenn. Hindsight...I have NCSU to hear from (my IS)... those letters went out yesterday...
Do you guys think there's a chance that they are sending out the last round of interview invites, or do you think it's all going to be rejections?

I haven't heard a thing either. No interview invite no rejection no nothing!!I still haven't heard anything. Is anyone else in the same boat?
Yeahhh it's a bit of a stretch for me as well, so pretty sure a rejection is coming my way too. So impatient to hear, thank goodness we're nearly finished waiting.
Yeppp....Thanks for the info!
I wish they'd just sent our rejections out with the others...![]()
I don't understand this either, it's not fair to the applicants to give them hardly any contact, after all that was invested for applying. I feel like my application has been in the pile the whole time and never touched...
At this point, I'm hoping to get a rejection Monday or Tuesday so I can finally get some closure (especially since this is the last school I'm waiting to hear from).
@jwolf22 if you plan to reapply, a file review is a good idea. Assuming Penn does them.
