if anyone has any questions about our curriculum or life in philly, let me know!

They will add you to the facebook group once there are more people accepted!

I live in center city and have lived in and around the area my whole life. If you have any general Philly questions, jersey shore questions, or anything like that let me know! Also don’t go to Pat’s or Geno’s please.

Hi guys! Does anyone have any more info on the style of interview we'll get? I saw on the thread that they're 30 minutes with 2 interviewers, but is it open file or closed? Is it behavioral or are they asking specific questions about your experiences? Sorry if this was already answered, but I went through the whole thread and don't think they were. Thanks so much!

30 min, 2 interviewers, open file, really kind of a mix of questions. Be prepared to talk about your experiences, but I was also asked a few behavioural questions and about how I would handle stress, where I saw myself in 5 years, etc.
And have an answer for “tell me about yourself”

Here is a good link to everything you need to know. University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine Interview Feedback

Are they still sending out interview invites?
Yes! Interview offers go out right up until the last day of interviews, which is early-mid February. So you can still hear back. Especially if someone withdraws their application and they had an interview offer for an upcoming date.

AHHHHHHHHH I JUST GOT THE CALLL HOLY SHEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT YASSSDS

Congrats!!!!

Oos accepted!! I'm in denial right now

I sent a request. Living on the edge

Literally me too, minutes ago. You inspired me

Congrats as well!!! Happy for you guys. Enjoy this feeling -- it's so good to feel on top of the world!

Also don't worry about the FB page 🙂 It doesn't usually pick up until a bit later as you guys are only in the first waves. Enjoy getting to know the other classmates on there and it will definitely pick up more later in the spring/summer. See if anyone is close to you geographically. I hiked a lot the summer before school with another person and our dogs which made orientation a little easier. The rest of us get added later as well so that students etc can ask questions. I remember that all I cared about was if my lab would be happy in the city 🤣@raf2769.

Seconding this. I remember I didn't know jack about a lot of stuff. It was nice to have people like @Skimble and @raf2769 that answered all my questions. Please ask questions and don't feel shy. It's the worst not knowing stuff 🙂

Did anyone else get the email from the student ambassador saying congrats on getting in and welcome to the fb group, who didn’t get a call? I haven’t gotten a call or email or anything from admissions, and thought I didn’t get in... but now I’m not so sure?? Hoping it’s not a mistake!

does anyone know when the last set of interviews are sent out??
They’re not only sent out in sets. They’re typically sent out three weeks prior but they continue sending them until the last interview day.

Anyone interviewing this Friday and get the email about dressing for the cold? I don’t know what to pack now - help!

Long pants, heavy jacket, hat, scarf, gloves. That’s about all you need.

Is this friday the NBC interview day? If so, there's a decent amount of walking outside for the tour, so I would consider double layer pants if possible, dress pants alone will be pretty cold.

I didn't know what they're allowed/supposed to wear at NBC, if they're still in interview attire or not lol if they don't have to be in interview attire out there, then yes, those are much better options haha

If it’s still interview attire, sometimes I’ve worn leggings/tights under my suit pants and it helps!

Leggings under pants have been my best friend at NBC 👍

I mean OVER their nice pants for the tour portion. I can't see anyone judging them for that.

Good luck to everyone interviewing tomorrow! It’s not as nervewracking as you might think!

Just got my snail mail acceptance. Don’t freak out like I did since it comes in a small envelope and only has a letter with your acceptance. Everything else is found through a link that they put in the letter.
