Congrats on everyone receiving their interview invites! Anyone else have to be there bright and early at 8:00am Friday the 25th??

Now begins the constant butterflies in the stomach!

Not yet 🙁(( I'm hoping though 🙁 I've had a rough Xmas break with three rejections... Trying to stay positive though, I got two invites as well. But since I haven't received a vmrcvm yet, I think I might be is disappointed again 🙁 thank you for your support!

Don't feel too down, yet. <3 Give the system some time. I never compared interview invitations with my classmates, but the acceptances took somewhere in the range of 3-4 hours to get out to everyone - and there are significantly less acceptance e-mails to send out than interview e-mails. 😉
 
Has everyone who has received an interview had a status change on the website?
 
Does anyone know if the invites go out all at once? or in batches?

Ugh, waiting is so difficult! I had my last interview invite as soon as I checked my emailwhen people started posting that they'd got invites. Also, I'm slightly keyed up for that interview Sunday, which makes everything a little more stressful.

Does VA typically send out in waves or just one batch?? I'm freaking out 🙁
 
So how do I know if I've been rejected or am on an interview wait list?

Me too. I got an interview last year so I thought for sure I'd get one this year too. My application status says under review too. Although last year I got my waitlist e-mail at 1am so many I should get up in the middle of the night and check haha.
 
Maybe the invites will continue to be emailed throughout the night? Or perhaps continue on Monday? (even though she said by the end of the first week in Jan) *sigh* wishful thinking :lame:

I know 🙁( I'm considering it a rejection now. Seems like no one else has heard since that first initial hour of invites 🙁 hoping for a wait list interview invite!

Thanks! I am convinced that everything always works out the way that its supposed to. So I will stay hopeful. 🙂

If it makes anyone feel better I checked last years thread and some people got calls a few days later and even some emails a few weeks later. WE'RE NOT RULED OUT YET!
 
There is no wait list for interviews from what I understand...There is a wait list afterwards....They do all the interviews in one weekend!!!! We will only have been back to class for a week , starting our 2nd semester of our first year. Good luck everyone with interviews!! l love VMRCVM!!! Its hard work work but so much fun!!!
 
Anyone know the details re the interview sched for the 25 and 26? Is it 2 sessions per day like Davis?

Not sure yet, but I'd say good chance. They said they'll send out more information later so I'm waiting on that to decide on everything before booking my flight and whatnot. My interview is in the afternoon on the 26th.

Ugh...so bummed I didn't get an invite!! I thought for sure I would get one since I got an invite to another school and this is my IS. I guess I was a little overly confident 🙁

I heard that they may be sending out more invites on Monday 1/7...? I think one of the SDN members called Joyce and they mentioned that. I could've sworn I read it among the VMRCVM 2017 hopeful posts, but I can't find it now. Any insights???

Also, I looked at the interview invite thread from last year, and people did get invites after the first day they went out. :xf: good news comes your way soon! Don't get discouraged yet! 🙂

Just clarifying the interview waitlist thing - as I recall, there is a waitlist per sorts. They don't tell you if you're on it or not, but as people decline interviews they start calling people off of it, which is why some people hear back later than others. 🙂

Congrats to everyone who has heard back so far, here's hoping for those of you still waiting, and good luck to both!
 
My bad didnt think there was a waitlist for interviews, There has been multiple sessions both days, unless they are doing something different this year.

Oh how soon we forget the pain of waiting to hear😉 If memory serves me, we did get our acceptances only a week after interviews but at a ridiculously late hour, like the last minute of the day they were promised, as in midnight the day we were told we would be notified. It was brutal.

There is an interview wait list, it's what you are on if you don't get an interview or a rejection email. I was on the interview wait list last year and had no idea, I just wasn't ever contacted by the school. Then, thanks to finding SDN (thanks Jared at LSU), I called Joyce a week before interviews to find out what was going on. She explained what I just did about the interview wait list and asked me if I was still interested, she would mark my file if a spot became available. Of course I was. We hung up but she called back in less than 5 minutes with an interview offer! And I got in from that interview, no wait list for acceptance🙂 I hope this gives some of y'all hope, you could still be in the game. Hang in there!

Oh, and my online status never changed, even after I was accepted, letter in hand. They don't keep up with that very well.

Biochem nearly dropped me out of the vet program, so excuse me please while I continue to abhor it. 😉

I decided not to take a second semester of biochem. 😛 Gonna do Crime Fiction with all my friends instead.
 
Quick question..if it says from the email that we should arrive 45 minutes prior to our interview time, and my check-in time is 8 am on Friday the 25, do I have to arrive at 8 am or 7:15? Thanks!!!
