Does anybody know if our waitlist ranking from the email is our original ranking right after the interview? Or are they updated after people have already been pulled off the waitlist?

I'm pretty sure it's at the time that they sent the email since mine said "your current position"

I finally heard today, I am 23rd on the waitlist. I figured, since I completely bombed that interview!

Mine also did not say 'current position.' Just that I am number 23.

Hey all, I have some info for the OOS wait listers. I e-mailed Joyce after she told me my position (20) and she gave me more details. There are currently 44 people on the OOS wait list. In past years they have moved through about 20 people after the official decision day. All of the OOS spots are currently filled.

So, if any body in the teens or twenties is going to get a call, I imagine it'll probably be pretty last minute. That is total guess on my part though.

I know whining is annoying but, man I'm bummed I evidently did so poorly on the interviews. Although I did not have a particularly good feeling about it afterward. Oh well, there's always next year and its not over yet.

Good luck to all! And post if you get off the wait list! I have a feeling there's some lurkers who aren't posting when they get off...

I sent an e-mail to [email protected] (very important to only use this, by the way) on the day after the deadline for initial acceptees and found out my position the next day. The e-mail said I was next up...and a few hours later, I received an admission offer! As you might have guessed, I accepted 🙂. For all current alternate listers and future applicants, I am IS MD.

A lot of things can change during the next couple of months in terms of the spots filled. But, we were told we wouldn't get access to one of VT's websites until the class was full. We got access to it today. Again, don't completely give up yet, as some people could change their minds. I did want to let you guys know though. Sorry to bring kind of bad news, but I know I always like to know what's going on. Good luck to you guys though! I have my fingers permanently crossed that good news comes your way!

Yeah, to second this bad news, our class officers just got word that the class of 2017 is full and complete. Sorry to everyone still waiting. You never know what might happen but...I wanted to let y'all know.
