What the heck I’m also oos and they said rank wouldn’t be revealed .. maybe they changed their minds HAHA honestly id rather know my rank bc then I can either let this dream die or stress myself out even further waiting for it to happen😆
Yesssss literally I need to know if I should continue yearning or give up my delusions

So, I'm IS. I was interviewed on the 6th. I haven't gotten a call or email about anything yet. They said 2 weeks but it looks like others have gotten calls. Should I be ready for that denial letter?

I assume you are an Idaho resident? You should hear some time this week

I am sorry i didn't mention that. I was just assuming that if other people have heard last week then I would have learned last week too. I am Idaho IS

No worries. They said 2 weeks from the interviews. If you haven’t heard anything by Friday, you should reach out to the admissions office

Did you call or email? I’m curious if they changed their minds or maybe someone who wasn’t in the know replied

It was an email like 3 days after decisions were released so maybe they hadn’t decided yet but now will be ranking us? So strange but I’m along for the ride I guess

From what I have read, IS last year received an email a week later with a ranking. I have also heard some years that they tell you if you are in the top 50% but don’t give you a number. So frustrating

Does this mean that Washington Residents have recieved their notices but they have yet to release the idaho desicions?

That’s what it looks like. Washington decisions went out last week

Washington interviewed a week before us so we should hear back this week. I’m also an Idaho resident that interviewed on the 6th

I thought checking this thread during my break would be a great idea.. Now i’m panicking over my waitlist rank (OOS)😭

Well, that makes me feel a bit better haha. Thank you1 Crossing our fingers

Same! I am on the IS waitlist and my whole family keeps asking for updates and I have nothing to tell them
I’m guessing it won’t do much moving until around April when people have to commit to a school. A friend emailed the admissions committee and heard that they will be sending out additional waitlist info later this week

Idaho state waitlist! Top teir (whatever that means) given that they only accept 11 students from Idaho, I really don't think I'll make it. It's been a fun ride so far!
Did you apply anywhere else?

Idaho waitlist second tier for me! I hope the waitlist moves. I wonder how many Idaho applicants/interviews they did and how much it usually moves🤔 I really enjoyed visiting the campus and learning more about the school. Staying hopeful for us!🤞🏽

if we get called off the waitlist, do you guys know how much time we have to decide if we would like to accept the seat?
If before the April deadline, I believe you have until that deadline like everyone else. If after the April deadline, I think it's a matter of days based on what I heard from people in my class.

Usually waitlists spots are given a number of days in the accepted email. I know people pulled off various waitlists before April 15th last year and they had between 1-5 days to accept their spot even tho it wasn’t April 15th yet.

It’s tiered. Second tier for me. I’m callin this cycle a doozy 🥲 I really didn’t need to hear anything else not positive today. Does anyone even know what this means?

It didn’t mention how many tiers there were though, wondering if it’s also 3

OOS top tier for me too, so I guess I will continue yearning for now

Wondering the same. I am in tier 4, so there must be more. Does anybody know how many people are on the IS waitlist? Maybe the tier sizes are the same across both waitlists, but there are more ppl on the OOS list?

Does anyone know how many people are placed in each tier?

Not at all. Wish they’d be a bit more transparent but I guess I have to be thankful for anything at this point haha maybe looking through other threads from previous years could be helpful? Last year they gave out exact ranks so clearly not that one but maybe the year prior?

Was wondering this as well. I'm in tier 2 for Idaho. No clue how they pull from them or what the tiers mean. A few people on the APVMA forum said they replaced open seats with someone that has the same focus/interest (small animal, large animal, etc). I don't know if there is any truth to this, but multiple people have said they put a lot of focus on composition of classes based on these categories.

Hmmm so is a tier not necessarily ranked like numbers but more like a grouping of similar applicants?

I think if this was the case my email would’ve said “tier 1” and not “top tier” but idk

I agree. I believe that animal choice is nor exactly how to rank you, but may influence the way they choose candidates to fill roles

I emailed to ask and they told me how many Washington seats there were and how many people were waitlisted. They did not tell me how many were in each tier. I’ll have to pull up the email to get the numbers.

I believe this is accurate. I would assume Tier will be pulled first, but I don’t think there are actual ranking numbers

I think top tier and first tier are synonymous. I think they probably just want to emphasize ur the top spots for the waitlist but tbh I am unsure. I might email to see if they’ll share how many people are in each tier but will probably wait a day or two to give them some grace haha

Hi everyone! Sorry if this isn’t the best place to post this!

First off, congratulations to everyone who got in! And for those who haven’t (yet), don’t lose hope—you’ve got this!!!!

I also wanted to take this chance to share that I have a room available in my apartment for a roommate! Rent is incredibly affordable, and I have two sweet kitties. (Perfect for palpation practice). DM me for more details!

I’m happy to answer any and all questions about WSU—I’m currently a first-year vet student. I’d love to help take some incoming first-years under my wing! ❤️ Feel free to reach out!
