WW Child's Play; a noob game

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Sorry, I was putting my kids to sleep so if you have moved on significantly or already answered forgive me, but this was driving me crazy this whole time.
1) "not one child felt at ease" Does this mean we are looking for adults since the children were upset and Others were pleased?
Any thoughts?

All of the children beat him except his friend. I don't think that there are adults. "Not when child felt at ease with what they had done" because the children stoned Tiny Tim to death.

I will probably think about this more tomorrow.

I'm also a more recent literary character, a girl, and solo protagonist as previously mentioned.

I just woke up from a dream that made me more sure of my crazy suspicions. Night actions have passed. Did we all survive? Is there a way to test my suspicions and show the villagers the possible traitor among us pretending at being a child? Read the old stories friends. Get crazy suspicious with me!

Care to share before the results come in, just in case you've gotten axed?

Read my post. My advice is there. Look up who we think we know. You should see it. I wasn't sure until after sleep, but now it's too late.

I think I've found what you're referring to...

I cannot think of a way to ask you to verify 1) If you found the right thing, 2) If you are really a villager, 3) If you can help, without giving away everything.

You are one who I haven't trusted because you demanded answers from everyone else, but said next to nothing about your own character. If you are a villager, careful with that. You were on my short list, but I see now that even those we thought we knew wear different faces. The list expands.

I can't say I blame you, trust can be dangerous in this game. I haven't yet had a reason to reveal too much, though I have dropped a few breadcrumbs, in case the story counterpoint/partner I suspect I have is looking for me. (Not alluding to being Hansel or Gretel btw, I'm not either.) I do happen to trust you, though, among a few others, if it counts for anything.

So far, I'm basing who I trust the most on who seems to be thinking most like the way I'm thinking (or would like to be thinking). Posts that make me think "oh yeah, good call, mark that down", to me, indicate a player who's actively trying to advance the villager cause and who's going about it in a logical, systematic way. Theories that seem shoe-horned or far fetched are more likely to be coming from someone who's trying to steer us off course.

:scared:

I think I have some pretty strong theories as well. It still won't be as fun if WE DON'T HAVE FULL PARTICIPATION!!!!

Sorry, too loud?

The initial excitement of meeting new kids from many different backgrounds quickly faded after the horror of having killed a sweet, innocent boy. One would think that after such a busy day everyone would fall asleep quickly, and soundly in the warm comfortable beds. But, alas, that was not the case for many of the inhabitants of SDN-land. For better, and often for worse, a large portion of them snuck around at night doing both naughty and nice things.

Of course, after such a horrible event it should not be such a surprise that a few of them had nightmares, nightmares that will plague them the coming day.

Some children found that the things they prided themselves on, their special abilities, did not always work as planned, or perhaps had been stolen completely, whilst others felt more comfortable in having had their abilities, or in others helping them out.

One girl crept along trying to figure out the true identity of one of her fellow children. She espied Little Red Riding Hood hiding in a barn, and heard her lamenting the loss of her newly found friend from another world, Tiny Tim. She heard how they had been able to PM with each other, and how they could have decided together how to ask insightful questions. Then she saw Little Red Riding Hood leave a message for the mods in her basket, and she wondered what the mods would answer, because although she couldn't read the message, it seemed like a good idea to get more info.

While she was spying on Little Red Riding Hood, and waiting for the answer to her question, this girl sensed a dark shape suddenly emerging, and all her bravado she had suddenly vanished, and in its place was a deep dark fear. She closed her eyes and hid as best she could, hoping that she was not noticed. After what seemed like days of waiting, the sun started to dawn, and she felt safe to get up. When she did, she noticed that Little Red Riding Hood's basket was gone, and the question unanswered. Little Red Riding Hood was not gone though, she was still there lying there like this:

That's right. Little Red Riding Hood was dead. All this girl could think of was the only death possible for the girl, death by wolves! She ran home and was not sure what to think of this crazy world anymore.

Dead is @katashark, Little Red Riding Hood, most certainly a villager.

Elsewhere, there was a boy out getting into all sorts of trouble. He was fishing, and cursing, and rafting, and associating with all sorts of nefarious characters. Sure, he was really good-hearted, but this was just no question that he couldn't resist being just a little bit naughty, doing things his own way. But young children, your parents weren't lying, there are fearsome evil monsters out there, and there is one creature out there that is attracted to naughty children, and this is not a creature you want to meet. It is the embodiment of fear, and while this boy was rafting down the river, he felt some type of creature lurking nearby. He quickly moved his raft to the other side of the river, and jumped out on the bank. Unfortunately, there was no escape... The creature grabbed him, and dragged him back to a cave, and this is the last image we have:

Dead also is @ladyofthefarm, Huckleberry Finn
, who could have blocked any item or role, including kills by the wolves.

It is a somber day to wake up to, with 2 more of the villagers taken so soon. The children all gather together, and they know what they must do. They must LYNCH THE EVIL AMONGST them.

I promised to be fun. I wanted to whittle away the hours of waiting with the excitement of a game.

Now I'm dead.

It sucks.

Did Kat give any hints as to her character/ability? Or was that just blind luck on the wolves' part?

Well crap. I wasn't expecting two losses... and both people who could have helped us. Noteowrthy though (I think) is that they are both people we figured out. Careful with your identities my friends. I already worry I've said too much.

I was just typing up the same thing in response to PBC. Even more reason to not completely reveal myself yet. Katashark/Red had already outed herself as did Lady/Huck. Perhaps the "big bad wolf" and "tom" are the ones who killed them?

If I'm honest, I'm a little sad Lady was a villager. My suspicions were so off. Sorry Lady : (

Are there river monsters in the Tom/Huck stories? I never read Huck Finn.

Same 🙁

Sorry Lady. I really did think Huck would be something other than a villager 🙁

Glad we didn't manage to get her lynched though, PBC.

I was convinced that Lady was being genuine and was a villager. I was only suspicious of Katashark after she voted to lynch me but it turns out she was being overly cautious.

I also think its interesting that Red Riding Hood & Tiny Tim were paired up/friends. So even us "sole protagonists" have a chance that we have partners without necessarily following the story lines.

We still haven't heard a word from KLMN and heyyimhayley. Have they still not been online yet?
After a quick look, it appears heyyimhayley still hasnt been on but KLMN logged on around 12:30 last night. Not sure what to do about them anymore. I dont want to lynch another quiet person and end up with another Tiny Tim incident 🙁

This is true. That hit hard.
I can't imagine us picking a worse person to lynch.
Even the wolves had to feel a little bad about that. 🙁

Geez SOV, that gif...it's not like I ever want to sleep again, or anything.

So this really sucks. We lost two valuable and enthusiastic players who were both working hard to help us figure out what was going on in the game. RIP guys, hopefully we can stamp out some wolves in your memory.

Does the monster who killed Huck sound like a Krampus to anyone else?

Checking in for the morning. I'm working in the clinic all day, but I'll be by as much as possible. I have a few people who I'm pretty confident I can trust, but two deaths in one night throws a wrench into things. Two active players too. 🙁 And I have no major leads.... Anyone have ideas?

Oh why oh why is this happening?!? :'(

I've got nothing. I was kind of hoping someone would pop up with a good theory.
I don't want to take another random shot.

We need to go back and see who aloha and kata were suspicious about. The wolf may have felt threatened by their accusations. But, it could also be someone who hasn't spoken yet.

I find mouse a little strange still. Quick to lynch but nothing else (that I saw... But there are a lot of posts.

Currently I believe PBC and Kam seem pretty villager to me.

I'm glancing in occasionally from work and won't have time to look back through the thread until 6:30 or so, but here are my initial feels:

Suspect due to voting history:
-PBC and Caiter both campaigned against LOTF, though it seemed to me to be a relatively safe bet that she was a villager.
-Aloha was the first to pick Chordata from the no-show list. I've been inclined to trust Aloha for a number of reasons, but it is noteworthy.
-Rockatiel was quick to jump to second the Chordata vote, starting the ball rolling for the bandwagon.

Gut feels:
-I don't trust pinkpuppy. I have a nagging feeling that we should have stuck with her for the last vote. She did, however, place her original lynch vote for Aloha when chordata had already racked up two, so it would have been an easy bandwagon if she's a wolf and they knew Chordata's ability at that point. Something isn't sitting right with me, though...gut feeling.

I don't see why you'd be suspicious of me. You all jumped on my bandwagon because I was suspicious of Aloha, even though I actually laid out some logic as to why. Most people just voted for me because Aloha did, and refused to see that I had provided actual evidence to my suspicions. Do wolves know abilities of us anyways? That could be why killed Huck since he had such a good ability and could have helped us!

I do feel bad about switching to Chordata tbh. I still have a feeling about Aloha, and I'm still watching Mouse. I don't see how you can pipe in with a huge claim that you can ID wolves, and never speak up again. Too fishy. Or wolfy, I should say.
