WWedding at the End of the WWorld: Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm going to do a quick reread of the game from the beginning and then I'll get my reads up if I don't fall asleep mid read...
Sloth tl;dr:
- There are some posts that I find fairly triggering, most of which I'd already commented on.
- She hasn't posted at all today, and that is making it harder for me to really come to a read.
- I do feel some distancing between her and please, but I want to go back and look at Basics to see if she made posts like that there too because I'm pretty sure I've incorrectly wolf-read Sloth in every game I've played with her.
- Sit tight for final thoughts that I'll edit into this after I go look at Basics, but I don't think the forum software will allow me to ISO both games in the same post.

This feels jokey to me.

IIRC from Basics, these were the kinds of posts that really triggered people and caused her ultimate misyeet, so while they ping me, I'm not confident yet that I can trust the ping. I do think her answer to the wolfing question is odd, that seems like something you'd remember. But AI odd? Not comfortable saying it is on its own.

This asking for clarification on Mel's list felt a little off to me, plenty of people do their reads in list form like that. And I'm triggered by the extra punctuation.

I'm not sure what was giving her a village read on genny this early on, she never says, and it's interesting to me because I didn't feel like genny had made a lot of posts up to that point that felt super AI one way or another.

This questioning Dina on her please vote is pingy, but I could be reading tone into the "exactly"

This came out of nowhere and with no explanation. It always gets my attention when people vote alley on D1 because she gets misyeeted D1 a TON - and often by all village wagons, but it would be super easy for a wolf to sew sus there and get village to bite.

Again, this might be semantics, but "never" is a strong word to use, especially coming from someone who doesn't play very often and therefore doesn't have that many games to have to remember in the first place.

Then this makes me uncomfortable because unless Sloth is a speed reader, I'd be shocked if she actually read through enough of Basics to get a solid idea of please's wolfing style in the 35ish minutes between those posts.

And it's hugely hypocritical for me to call someone else wordy, but this is a lot of words and feels vaguely over-explainy.
35 minutes definitely feels too quick to even iso and analyze someone's posts in another game. I know I personally tried to start looking at that game but got distracted refreshing and reading new posts on this game thread. So I am pushing slothy wolfy off that, but I need to reread and see the exact timing/where votes were as this was happening. So... I guess it's time to start a reread from the beginning. I'll get my current reads list up when I'm done if I haven't passed out midway through.

I'm still getting a village lean on genny, dina and shorty
now that cray and cyndia have posted a bit more I am feeling neutral on them, don't feel comfortable moving them to village just yet

slightly wolfy on bread, because I feel like its possible pleasy and bread could have been a w/w wagon, I also understand the argument against the w/w wagon, but I think its still a possibility
slightly wolfy on cubs for the defense of schools early on in the game, need to go back and look at that content more
What about me, Mel, and Barks?

There you go @Animal Midwife . However she did it in the sketchiest way possible. She could have just written the first paragraph. Instead she added the second to throw shade somewhere because she doesnt have any other viable wolf read now.

I have a couple people I'm instinctively leaning wolfy based off what I'm remembering from yesterday, though I'm about to reread to make sure I'm not misremembering anything and to see what stands out in light of the pleasey flip. Your posts just feel... icky to me for some reason, so why shouldn't I call that out?

You think that please would have voted a packmate rather than vote for you, and stay there on her packmate when your wagon was gaining momentum shortly thereafter? Why?
no, that's not what I meant. I'm just saying it may be possible they are a w/w wagon and may have known self-prez was imminent
Can you explain your genny read beyond it being a tone read? What posts of hers are making you feel she's village?
this quote specifically for me gave a strong village tone
oh i'm always up for a mel vote. i don't understand why you wouldn't vote for whom you want on D1, regardless of whoever is leading.

What about me, Mel, and Barks?
still a work in progress

no, that's not what I meant. I'm just saying it may be possible they are a w/w wagon and may have known self-prez was imminent
But what I'm saying is that what I described is what happened, in a w/w please/Bread world. Does that make any sense to you? Why self prez on a packmate at all rather than on a villager?
this quote specifically for me gave a strong village tone
Why couldn't or wouldn't a wolf say that same thing?

Taking a look at cubs' posts while I'm still awake and he's another one on the southern end of my reads.
tl;dr:
-There are a lot of posts in here by cubs that ping me pretty hard. That being said, cubs always pings me pretty hard, even when he's village.
- I feel like the defense of please is a little too obvious of a move for wolf!cubs, and I'm slightly less inclined to say that they're packmates because the defense is just so obvious and so ... wrong. It feels too wolfy to be wolf.
- I don't understand why he's suddenly throwing shade at Cyndia given where he had her in his reads.
- I want to see more content from Sloth before I really decide on this read, but right now, I'm a little less inclined to wolf read cubs than I was going into this ISO because of the aforementioned TWTBW.

eh, why not. been right more often than not lately.

yeet cheeze
Did you mean right about Mr. Cheezy specifically, or right about your reads in general?
Mr. Cheesy. Really I just did it for the wedding couple who wanted more fights. Have my reads been any good lately? I do remember the one game I was pretty on target, but not sure which others.
I feel like this comes up later so throwing it in here now. Bolding in the 3rd post is mine - to emphasize that cubs had stated that he'd been right about Mel "more often than not lately" and then started to walk it back a bit.

Edit: ok if it did come up later, I didn't pull the quotes from that exchange, but I don't think it matters.

Real but exaggerating a la how Dubz always makes some introductory hello post that people debate over. I dont feel like Dina usually does that kinda stuff, especially in the middle of the game already. Stood out to me.
This point he was trying to make on Dina felt weaksauce and stretchy to me. That being said, I've ISOed village!cubs before and come out on specific posts thinking he was incredibly stretchy and wolfy sometimes. I'll have to go through all of it and decide if the amount of posts that seem wolfy crosses the line to being too wolfy to be a wolf - that's helped me come to the right read on him before. The "middle of the game" comment and then irritation when multiple people called him out for it is the kind of thing that starts to fall under TWTBW, honestly.

Because the mods asked for more fighting so I threw down the Mel vote saying that voting him has been more right than wrong recently (as a joke). Then that got people all looking into how many games and how many times he’s wolfed as if it were serious. So I just removed the vote so as not to cause further issue.
cubs will dismiss sketchy things as jokes as both affiliations, so this got my attention, but it's not AI.

I’m not really seeing the PleezIt sketch even in the iso much but will be interesting to see how she defends since she is very often a village read.
This didn't age well. And I already mentioned that the end part is kind of weird since she's not someone I would say has a history of getting a strong village read early and easily.
I feel like usually being village read early in a game most all the time she doesn’t ever have to defend much. Wondering how she’ll respond being in the lead on D1

Not really :bag::sorry:
Not really having any wolf reads 3.5 hours to yeet close feels kind of strange for someone whose D1 reads have been solid in recent games.

Im rereading these interactions since the cray post and they do seem out of place, especially the "sounds like village genny." I dont know how much hes played with her, but never when I was around. First time I think Ive played with Philo
First time he starts sussing Sloth, and I think it's a valid point. Sloth's willingness to put genny as one of her 3 village leans, with the same reasoning that she gave when genny was a wolf, was surprising to me.

Well ive got village reads on PleezIt, AM, and shorty so I guess Ill vote for one of the other 2 on the wagon cause I dont have much else right now.

vote bread
I don't really understand why he was village reading please, he never says anything about that to this point.
What are you seeing in please's posts that's enough to village read her?
I guess its kinda like innocent until proven guilty. I dont see anything incriminating, 4 people feel strongly enough to vote for her, I dont see what theyre seeing, so by default I guess I lean her village or at worst neutral.
And then I pushed him on it and got kind of an unsatisfactory answer. OTOH, I got an answer very similar to this from someone in the hydra game, and I KNOW they're village, so... it could just be a different way of looking at the game? But I thought her tonal differences as a wolf were pretty striking, personally.

Those wagons werent really there until I moved to bread and made the comment that things seemed too be going too easy on the pleez vote. So not only do I still think there was possibly a wolf at the end of the pleasy wagon (bread, dina who were locked in at that point), Im looking at people like zenge and cray who moved/voted after I made the comment, especially since sloth made some sketchy comments which gave an opportunistic place to vote. Then theres also sloth herself who made the 5th vote on what at the time looked like a runaway pleez vote 5-2-2. Barks had already placed a sloth vote, then zenge and cray jumped on in pretty rapid succession. Also the way Zenge said "yeah, thats too much for me" when he made the vote struck me as odd. I didnt like alleys back and forth, completely agreeing with shorty on her ISO of Pleez' and her wolfstyle being similar and then a few posts later complete hedge sentence of "im concerned people are ganging up on please, but I can see where theyre coming from," and then after all of those comments decides to vote Mel.
I didn't like this post this morning, still don't like it tonight. It feels flaily and like he's throwing sus in all directions to see where it might stick - Zenge? Cray? Bread? Dina? Alley? Sloth?

vote sloth

Being the final vote on please late in the cycle bugs me, reminds me when strog did the exact same thing on a wolf partner the last time he wolfed.
In a world where Sloth is a wolf, I just don't know that I see wolf!cubs coming out of the gate D2 bussing this hard. I'm just not sure if I think Sloth is a wolf yet.

village - shorty, AM, barks
neutral to lean village - Mel, cyndia, genny
neutral to lean wolf - bread, dina
a little wolfier - cray, alley
even wolfier - Sloth
wolfiest - spooky ghost
I didn't mind this reads list this morning, but I dislike it a little more now. My main issue with it being the bottom half in general, and Dina and alley's placements in particular.

-opportunistic late vote onto sloth
-pushing early cubs sketch, recent village games had her wanting me around
This reasoning for Cray's placement felt kind of weak to me.

-i figured it was the content, not sure what length would have to do with it.
- barks backed my alley eval
- the sloth move is not an out of this world tinfoil but a very real possibility
- the zenge, cray votes felt opportunistic, never said it made them wolves
Barks is historically not good at reading alley. And I don't know why Zenge and Cray's votes would be opportunistic when the general consensus was that Sloth was being sketchy, and some people were concerned about the prospect of a please/Sloth pack dynamic.

-No buys that you were a wolf in that recent game but it happened
-read the list, she is not even in my bottom 2 categories, other places to go, people to yeet
This bothered me quite a bit because people not wolf reading me in my last game isn't really relevant here. Bussing please wouldn't fit Dina's wolf meta AT ALL and I think there's a 0.0000000000000001% chance that was ever a bus. Trying to make a tinfoil that Dina could have bussed please, especially given how Dina has been playing this game, is weak.

There you go @Animal Midwife . However she did it in the sketchiest way possible. She could have just written the first paragraph. Instead she added the second to throw shade somewhere because she doesnt have any other viable wolf read now.
I'm not sure why he's suddenly coming after Cyndia so hard when he has her in his neutral to village category.

Would a wolf!cubs jump on a wolf!Sloth vote as early as he did today, from what you've seen previously?
I want to say no to this. From what I can remember, it doesn't seem like something that a wolfy cubs would do that quickly
I'm still getting a village lean on genny, dina and shorty
Shorty just asked about genny but why dina?
slightly wolfy on cubs for the defense of schools early on in the game, need to go back and look at that content more
What do you think about what I said about his defense being too loud/obvious for him to be a wolf?

I feel like this comes up later so throwing it in here now. Bolding in the 3rd post is mine - to emphasize that cubs had stated that he'd been right about Mel "more often than not lately" and then started to walk it back a bit.

Reading these quotes from cubs where he makes a joke, a bunch of people start questioning him, and then he walks back the joke just gave me flashbacks. I feel like this happens early in almost every game when people misunderstand him and then it becomes a whole thing

I dont understand. Someone please explain to me how me saying "i dont see what others are seeing in regards to pleezits wolfiness" = a DEFENSE of her. It just doesnt equate.

Reading these quotes from cubs where he makes a joke, a bunch of people start questioning him, and then he walks back the joke just gave me flashbacks. I feel like this happens early in almost every game when people misunderstand him and then it becomes a whole thing
It does, and I'm keeping that in mind.

But I've also caught him scum slip that way before too, so it's not exclusively a village!cubs thing.

I dont understand. Someone please explain to me how me saying "i dont see what others are seeing in regards to pleezits wolfiness" = a DEFENSE of her. It just doesnt equate.
You literally said she was in your village reads, lol

Yes. Please find my post about people missing the point about almost every post I make. It will make sense.

well I got distracted because of irl things… and I’m so excited I have to share 😍

There’s been this brownish room in our house we both hated ever since we moved in and we held off repainting it, planning to make it a nursery eventually… well I’m 7 months along and so it was finally time! Repainted it over the weekend and my SO hung the wallpaper tonight. Look how pretty!!!!! I’m so excited!!!!

Wow this awesome. Also I didn't know you were so highly preggers too rn. A lot of women on SDN are right now it's nuts!

I pulled please's comments about Sloth and cubs to see if I could glean anything from them. She gives early village/"normal" reads on both of them. With really very little justification. It wouldn't surprise me if one of them is a wolf, but it would surprise me if both are.
Not as present as I'd like sloth to be, and the "yeah what about this" felt a little weird (it was in response to something cubs said about you i think) but nothing to crucify them for yet

I don't have thoughts on a lot of people yet, but for those i do;
AM- sounds like village AM in the ways shes investigating people
cubs- sounds like what I've seen from village cubs
genny- i wrote not as chaotic as id expect- but I'm not sure this is AI
mel- pings me but mel always does so that probably means village lol
you- sounds like village you
sloth- sounds normal. I remember thinking they always sound paranoid
zenge- sounds like village zenge

everyone else i don't have really any thoughts on

It’s more in the tone. I normally think sloth sounds a bit off, but I think this is off in the same way I’ve seen off before.

My list wasn’t specifically people I felt were low posting, but people who I kept forgetting were here
Sloth has interjected enough for me to not forget their roster presence

nothing in particular, it’s purely tonal from what I’ve seen the last couple of games I’ve played w Cubs

I'm really not sure where to go rn
I can see shorty's points on me and I don't think it's coming from a wolf standpoint
But I doubt my wagon is 100% village
Between AM, shorty, bread, Dina and sloth I feel currently the best about AM and shorty, then dina then bread and sloth are kinda tied.

vote bread

the read on me being out of nowhere.
bread and sloth are kinda tied at the bottom of my reads right now
so it was kinda a dartboard between the two

I don't understand the color coding used here
Which part?

The red/blue in the vote column is the same I always use for yeet/unyeet.

The only new thing this time around is that I added the column for who is missing on the vote. People who haven't voted are red. People who have are black. Mel is orange in a few places because his vote wasn't a real vote (when he was voting for the ghost).

That’s a passive opinion. That’s not me going to bat for her against other peoples opinions.
I'd consider both of these posts light defense.

I’m not really seeing the PleezIt sketch even in the iso much but will be interesting to see how she defends since she is very often a village read.
I guess its kinda like innocent until proven guilty. I dont see anything incriminating, 4 people feel strongly enough to vote for her, I dont see what theyre seeing, so by default I guess I lean her village or at worst neutral.

But what was the timing? Because a wolf might do that in the hopes of waffles and then jump off a tie last min
The tie still means please would die though. So it'd be a yikes attention-grabbing exercise particularly since in this world w!sloth never mentioned any suspicion of Bread + I've seen wolves bungle the switch off so many times (especially if they've never done it before as either affiliation).

I am going to

###vote sloth###

Just to get my vote out early now. I feel like she has been sketchier than anyone else at the moment.

Feeling unsure about Cubs at the moment. I feel like if Sloth were to flip village I would throw Cubs into the red zone but if she would flip wolf I would probably put him hear Shorty and AM in Village block

Pretty sure that Dina is likely to be a villager since she helped secure the Please yeet
I do not feel too bad about Cray, Barky, Cyndia, and Alley on my first read through but will probably start with ISOing them

Unsure about Mel and Genny

I want to look at Cray and genny's posts today, so starting off with Cray.

tl;dr:
- Cray's super busy and not checking in the way she has in the past (though her activity has been lower like this in several recent games), and that makes her more difficult to evaluate.
- That being said, I feel like there are tonal shifts in how she's peppering sus around that make me a little bit concerned. When she has been around, I wouldn't say she's been actively wolf hunting much at all. She's thrown little sus things around here and there, almost like she's testing to see what will stick, but it's not in the way that I'm used to seeing her (where it just feels like paranoia). The main difference to me is that when she's village, she does eventually push on someone pretty hard - she doesn't ONLY do the "everyone is sus" thing that I'm seeing here.
- I think we've been giving Cray a pass for being busy, and for pregnancy brain, but I'd like to apply some pressure here.

This feels very odd.
Mild feels
Shorty vote on Barks feels weird, can't remember why she voted there now will have to look
I'll have to go and look at Cray's most recent wolfing game (which I think was RvB?), but initially, these posts didn't feel off to me at all. Felt like normal Cray Pbpa that can't be read into. What made me start reconsidering was some tonal differences in sus throwing that appear later on in the ISO.

I'm paranoid and wondered if it was powering up or something
There have been a few quotes like this where she says something that's just ... below the standard I'm used to for her, for lack of a better phrase. It almost feels like trying too hard to be mimicking the paranoia she has as a villager. Her post this morning that I already responded to was another example of this.

It was you or DocE that has gone after shorty for exactly this in past games. Or both of you. Trying to remember if you did this when she won as lone wolf, and iirc weren't you wolf that game?
Lightly trying to sow sus on Mel here?

Does Zenge like a strategy of white knighting? I think he does.
This is where I started feeling a twinge of unease about Cray. Because 1, that's not how Zenge has wolfed historically, but 2, I feel like village!Cray wouldn't ask the question like this to plant the idea in people's minds and have such a weak commitment to it. She's more willing to go for those out-there statements as a villager and just SAY it, even if it ultimately isn't correct.

Wait, you feel hedgy about him, or you feel he's being hedgy? And why does this read like you're being hedgy about your read? Hedgy about hedginess.
Again, below the standard I'm accustomed to from Cray. This felt a little overdone.

I like Dina's reads. But I'm worried that I like them in that way that a wolf's reads can be very likeable.
This reads very NAI to me.

Bold statement. Can anyone tell me how obvious it is when genny is a wolf? Can please explain to me how she's seen genny wolf and caught her when she wasn't trying to be caught?
This is more the kind of post I'd expect from village!Cray.

Not fully caught up and heading out to dinner.

So far though, not feeling great about Sloth or Please and willing to see what happens there.

#### yeet Sloth #####

Not sure I want to be not fully informed just pile onto Please.
Again, I think this is NAI. Cray's vote here actually, IMO, doesn't give us any info about her OR Sloth's aff, although I'm a bit less inclined to believe in a wolf!Sloth in a wolf!Cray world because Cray's vote put the total at 3 when please was only 2 votes ahead of that. It would be a risky move to put an additional packmate that close to danger when she easily could have gone on Bread instead.

Many wolves will do both. Power wolfing and trying to get misyeets doesn't mean a wolf can't white knight other players. It's pretty rare a wolf wants to act paranoid of everyone or go after everyone or village read everyone.

As I always say, you got to pick which villagers will be your enemies, but I should also say you have to pick which ones to side with as well.
More trying to get people interested in the idea of sussing Zenge after Dina and I had agreed that white knighting really isn't part of Zenge's wolf meta - he's much more likely to go after the low hanging fruits and get them misyeeted. And then, when I persisted and posted some of his early reads the last time he wolfed, her response was hedgy and "well, he might have gotten more sophisticated."
Maybe I'm wrong about him white knighting and maybe I just think that's what he's doing when I misread him. Or maybe he's become more sophisticated (I know he's done the latter, but not sure exactly in what ways his play has evolved)

I don't understand the color coding used here
But what was the timing? Because a wolf might do that in the hopes of waffles and then jump off a tie last min
These made me raise an eyebrow for a couple reasons. I post my spreadsheet in every game I play and the color coding has always been the same, and hasn't been an issue in the past. That said, I don't actually know that Cray has ever LOOKED at my spreadsheets lol. But she could easily have gotten the answer to her second question from the spreadsheet, which she apparently did look at this time.

Getting serious sketch vibes. Like what if Shorty killed Zenge N1 as revenge for the dick wolves game?
I hope this is a joke and the tone just wasn't conveyed because otherwise, yikes.

Village:
AM
alley
Dina
Barky
Bread
Mel

Neutrals:
Cyndia
genny

Wolfy (from least to most):
cubs << Sloth = Cray

I don't think cubs and Sloth are compatible, and if Sloth flips wolf, I'd move cubs up to village. I think Cray could probably be compatible with either of them, but moreso with cubs than with Sloth.

Didn't cray ask the wolf pack to bus in bioshock particularly when alley was on the chopping block? I can't remember.

Do you think Cray would opt to bus sloth in a world that almost ties sloth with please? I think they're fully incompatible and she can only be with cubs if we're picking between the two.
