This is where I'm really hung up.

So, genny chose to open a PM with me last night, which triggered me by itself because I really don't care for PMs (unless I'm wolfing), but there were a few things she said that pinged me, and I've ruminated on them all day, and it hasn't made me feel better. One of them in particular - which could have been said by a villager too, but the only time anyone has said anything like that to me in a PM was when I was PMing a wolf. When I was in lover chat with Coop in CYO, she said something along the lines of being shocked that I hadn't died yet. genny said something similar.

She also said something that I didn't think much of at first, but in retrospect, it could have been trying to get me to role reveal - because I am a bit of a blabbermouth, historically. I didn't say anything to confirm or deny it.

idk this just feels almost too easy with Cyndia and I'm not convinced with that flavor paraphrase that it was a block, and I'm living in a paranoid world right now.

I haven't felt The Genny Way (TM) enough to put her in my village reads (and at least lately, I've been good at reading genny), the PM spooks me a lot, and while I don't fully understand what would have transpired with D1 and then the sloth bus, I want to put some pressure here because I have feels and they make me feel bad.

In a v!Cyndia world, the earlier they confirm the more village has time to evaluate. Which might lead to Cyndia being cleared especially if it's indeed all action-stopping like she says. Misyeets are scarce enough as is without clearing someone mid-cycle.

maybe I'm crazy but if cyndia got blocked and the blocker waited until she was yeeted and flipped village to say "hey btw I was the one that blocked cyndia last night" I think it'd be wolfy as heck

No, that's bad village play. Or, more likely, good wolf play, if true. The remaining roster knows better.

Maybe, but if Shorty is right and it isn't a block ability, then confirming Cyndia as target may do nothing to help us figure out Aff, and this village PR may be in the same boat as us needing to flip Cyndia to find out if it's the last wolf or not. If this village PR doesn't really know more than we do it makes sense if they also have Cyndia in the POE to let her get yeeted, not claim, and keep wolf hunting.

I'll be somewhat vague

It has to do with you saying yesterday you had reason to believe sloth was lying about her claim based on things you saw somebody else say and also you saying you'd eat a million hats if alley was village.

Feel like wolves maybe thought you were hinting at alley being the person who sent the messages to you or w/e it was that you saw.

I think Alley had some sus but then she got some people defending her to where it looked like she was not going to be an easy misyeet.

When I wolf, I hunt for PRs, but if in the absence of that I then prioritize villagers who won't be easy misyeets and who have good reads, because that's *exactly* the villagers you need to NK before end game to try to craft your perfect end game.

So from thread my feeling was that alley was turning into a more difficult misyeet. What I don't know is if she was threatening to wolves as far as her reads. And also I have reason to think the wolves also guessed her role. Masons are good PRs to kill, not so much because the PR itself is a great risk for outting wolf Aff, but because they are not low hanging misyeet fruit and tend to end up cleared and part of the village block.

Well maybe they weren't the best in targeting, doesn't mean it's the wrong thing and bad village play for them not to claim now depending on the details of their PR.

I like to reserve judgment of other people's play or calling people dicks or whatever until I know more.

It really depends on what their actual ability is, I guess. Which we don't know. Gonna be one of those hindsight things.

Also didn't love the judgement from AM when I stayed holstered the most recent game. I had my reasons.

I'm breaking out in stress hives right now between this game and MU, and while I am feeling very concerned about genny, I cannot be entirely certain that it's not a function of my paranoia.

I'd much rather we discuss it more than people blindly follow me.

Where I feel really stuck with my genny read is I'm having an incredibly hard time reconciling how this game went for wolves early on with what I imagine a wolf!genny would do with 2 noob wolves.

But as I said before, I have that problem with literally anyone other than Cyndia.

But the PM stuff really distresses me.

Weirdly, in HZD, I had less material to go on and felt much more sure than I do right now, but I feel distressi and I just have a nagging feeling that it's too easy for it to be a please/sloth/Cyndia pack, you know?

Me too. But was genny even around at that yeet close? I'll go look.

what makes it feel easy?

It just feels like it's all coming together a little too easily, and like we had a strong start (like in Basics, but even better because we got 2 wolves), but... Cyndia's posts really haven't felt THAT wolfy to me. There was the one I pointed out calling my argument against please super compelling, which it wasn't, but other than that, they really haven't been screaming wolf.

I say that keeping in mind that I didn't think she was wolfy in Bioshock and she was, but I like to think I'm a better player now than I was then.
