Ick. I'm conflicted. I'm curious about WTF purchasing my services. If she's a wolf and able to share how much I pay when I hook up, it'd mean either the wolves investigated me, the wolves can hook up just like us villagers, or someone shared my value with her (Trem, maybe, since Trem apparently offered her services to me one of the last two nights). I can't imagine why Trem would have done that, though.

Trem can at least confirm my value tomorrow if WTF shares her ... assets ... with me tonight.

Yes, and this is the first night I have really understood what to base the decision of lynching someone on. I haven't seen much on the thread in tge way of posts by other players that would have caused me to put any input in due to my lack of experience.

Sorry, I'm a bit thick sometimes, but I don't understand how this is going to help us(villagers). Can you explain it a little differently?

Did Trem and WTF already use you as a client on the same night? Or you want both of them to choose you tonight? You want WTF to choose you tonight and then we'll lynch her tomorrow to find out if she's a wolf? I'm so confused by this.

Let's say she IS a wolf and 'agrees' to choose you as a client tonight. Whats to say she actually WILL choose you? I'm just trying to understand what it is you two are trying to do tonight and how it will help us.

What did Trem do?
 
Just got back from The Hobbit (ah-mazing!) and caught up on the thread. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I will admit that WTF's posts sound suspicious. I know she's playing two games, but the mechanics of this one are completely different and have been reiterated. But I'm also curious to see what happens when she chooses LIS.

Devyn posted yesterday at 4:30pm that she was thankfully done flying, so she's definitely on the ground now. She's usually much more active.

I guess lynch devyn for now. It sounds like it may provide some info re: dyachei's theory. And not lynching WTF yet and letting her choose LIS tonight may also provide info.
 
Anyone have any idea of what might constitute a wolf? Maybe a cop or a pimp? I know we've had deaths, so there have to be wolves (right?). I just feel it's less obvious in this game. Also I feel having to buy investigations may mean people aren't going to be found out or cleared as quickly.

This is what I am not understanding. If WTF chooses LIS tonight, then WTF gets whatever coin LIS gives out(unless more than one person chooses LIS, then the coin he gives out gets divided by however many people). LIS does not get told how many people chose him. So he will have no idea.

No one but WTF would know how much coin she got, and she could lie about it.

How does this prove/disprove anything about wolves?

What am I missing? She can prove she chose me by posting how much I 'paid' her. I can confirm this since it was included in my role. As, I presume, it would be for you if you were a villager .... is there some reason you wouldn't know that?

It doesn't definitively mean she is or isn't a wolf, though - we don't know whether or not wolves can participate in the whole hooker/John relationship.

The reason I assumed this was LIS's tone. Makes me think that it's something that I couldn't lie about unless I could actually visit him.

So, then, whats the point of this little experiment if it won't help us find a wolf? You are basically letting a possible wolf free 1 more night. (maybe she isn't a wolf, but she sure sounds/acts suspicious)

In my head I'm curious whether the wolves can participate in the hooker/client relationship. My presumptive theory is "no, they can't". Emphasis on theory, though - I don't really have any idea.

So. If WTF sells herself to me, she will get a certain amount of coin. She can post that. I can confirm that that's how much I pay out. (And, apparently Trem can confirm.)

It doesn't give us any immediately useful info necessarily, but if WTF turns out to be a wolf and was able to sell herself to me it means the wolves can also be hookers.

As far as lying about things ... there's no way I know of for WTF to know how much coin I pay when I'm a client, other than a) selling herself to me, b) possibly investigating me (if SOV is revealing 'value' via investigation), or c) getting told by someone else.

Is this test some sort of game-changing deal? No, not at all. It's more my curiosity and potential useful info down the road.

Make more sense? People are making too big of a deal over this. If we'd all rather just lynch WTF because her 3-point post didn't make much sense, I'm down with that, too.
 
Of course some/if not all of the wolves participate in the hooker/john relationship. It would be too easy to find them, if they didn't. Think people!

There is no fault with your point. I just think that it might possibly be useful data down the road. And whether we lynch her today or tomorrow ... doesn't really matter much. She's on everyone's radar already, whether we let a wolf have one extra night knowing we could lynch her tomorrow ... that doesn't cost us much if we get useful information in exchange.

Whether the information is useful or not ... that I'm not sure. *I* think it is. You clearly think it isn't. But I don't think you're missing anything.

Not quite. I think it's a given they have to participate as john's, because as villagers we pick the john's. So if they didn't - you're right, it would be easy.

But there's no reason they would have to participate as hookers. That's what I'd like to find out.

People didn't like my PMing post, fine. I think it is still TOTALLY valid to not try to draw attention to your role. And yes, I'm playing two games at once, so I had my wires crossed as well initially with the mechanics of this game (had to PM SOV myself a few times).

Anyway, throw protection LIS's way and let's do this.

Neither do I.

And I specifically have a solid theory as to why not based off of the one other money game (jdh's Wastelands game) I played in the Lounge

Now, this is based on my experience, but this is specifically why I took LIS up on his offer.

So, we've had people killed.Where does their money go? I haven't seen any of it, and I doubt anyone else has either.

I believe that this money goes to the wolves because they have killed said person. This makes the most sense to me by far. Notice that certain things on that list such as handguns, lynch avoidance, etc are equally useful to both villager and wolf.

If wolves were also hookers and able to earn money that way, then I feel like the money situation would be very skewed in their favor. Being able to have essentially two "income sources" for them would put the villagers at quite a disadvantage, and I don't think SOV would do that.
