Do YOU want some holiday mafia? Of course you do. Do you also want more pirates in your holiday? Of course you also do, everyone loves pirates. Unless you're the crown. Are you the crown? No, that would be ridiculous!

Anyways, it's a mafia game, it's about as nonstandard as it gets, I have a long history of running these kinds of games and them being fun, this one probably will be too. 24/24 cycles, close/open will probably be somewhere around 3 pacific. Game will start 12/23 probably, unless we don't get signups (and/or I fall asleep), then I'll cry instead. Closed setup, claims allowed, ties determined by [redacted].

Co-mods are @alissa14 and @vampyrica and anyone else that can't play but wants to help with tallies. Active players also welcome to do tallying. Any mechanics questions should probably be directed to me cause the setup exists primarily in my head and several notes on my phone.

I don't use subs, if you need to leave the game that's fine! Your slot will just be modkilled instead of subbed.

Some rules stuff I mostly copy/pasted:

• No post minimum
• Phases are 24/24, thread is open at night by default
• The vote is determined by whoever has the most votes at vote close. There are hammers. Discussion and strategizing is allowed until a mod posts otherwise
• “No Vote" is not allowed, voting for sleep is. Any non-voters will have their votes assigned by [redacted method]
• Scum must submit a kill each night, if they have one
• All night actions are considered compulsory unless stated otherwise
• No PMing outside of mod sanctioned PMs and PMs that are allowed by the rules
• Everything except for votes may be edited but please note why you are editing
• No deleting posts
• No quoting, copypasting, or otherwise duplicating mod messages from role PM. Use paraphrasing
• No screenshots
• No subs, only modkills
• Dead cannot post anything in game except non-game relevant memes
• Spectators cannot post in game thread. If a tie is made, things happen... you have been warned!
• As a mod and player, I like to have fun with night actions. Any night results that you receive that are in italics are purely flavor, have no impact on gamesolving, and are not affiliation indicative
• There may be mechanics involving the thread at night. Proceed with caution and pay close attention to host announcements
• HAVE FUN!

For everyone else--my GMing credentials are long and pretty solid, I've run dozens of games over the last nine or so years (wowee) and most of them have been pretty fun for everyone involved, I was at one point a preeminent closed-setup GM and now I'm mostly retired but hopefully still have the juice.
