Hi everyone, I've been getting some basic info together in anticipation of ERAS opening real soon now, and one of the things that doesn't seem to have any good centralized source is the Step 2 requirement by program.
As far as I know, no one is requiring step 2 to interview, but some places are requiring it to rank. Here's what I have so far of programs, and which ones are requiring step 2 to rank now. Please add and correct!

BWH - yes
MGH - no; requires that applicants submit scores by 3/15, which is after the rank list
BIDMC - unclear language. Likely not?
Duke - no
UNC - unknown, no mention of USMLEs
UPenn - likely no; no mention of step 2 requirement
UCSF - yes
UCLA - unknown; no mention of USMLEs
UCSD - no
UCDavis - no
Stanford - likely no; no mention of step 2 requirement
USC - unknown
Michigan - likely no; no mention of step 2 requirement
OHSU - no; however website not updated since 2011
Vandy - no; step 2 required before intern start date
Cleveland clinic - maybe? Committee likes applicants to "Pass Step 1, Step 2 CK & Step 2 CS of the USMLE on the first attempt" for interview/rank
Mayo - yes
UChicago - mostly yes: "we prefer, if possible, to have both USMLE scores to complete your application."
NW - no; step 2 required before intern start date (website not updated since 2011)
WashU - no; step 2 required before intern start date
UWashington - unknown; no mention of USMLEs
Baylor - unknown; no mention of USMLEs
UTSW - no; step 2 required before intern start date
JHH - unknown; no mention of USMLE step 2
Columbia - likely no; "if available, step 2 scores"
Cornell - likely no; "if STEP 2CK and/or STEP 2CS Transcripts are available, please submit them."
MSSM - unknown; no mention of USMLE step 2
NYU - unknown; no mention of USMLEs
Yale - no; "we will review your application if you have submitted only the results of Step 1. However, we are required to have both Step 1 and Step 2 results on file for every intern who matches with our training programs before they begin intern floor rotations on June 21."
Emory - unclear; "you can apply if your Step 2 score is still pending, however, please submit it as soon as it is available. "

Just assume that Step 2 is required to rank and you'll be fine.

I mean...keep making your list and all (if nothing else it will give you something to do besides obsessively check ERAS for interview offers) but there's nothing to say that a particular program won't change their rules between now and ROL deadline day (or even between now and next Tuesday).

Yep, I understand. Hopefully program directors will give a reliable and final pronouncement on the interview trail regarding this.

Ohio State does require Step 2 CS and CK before rank lists per the residency coordinator.

I'm curious about this also, as I feel it's possible I didn't pass step 2 CS but won't get my score until December.

old thread....but does anyone know if there is a way around this? any of these schools (like BID or Brigham) have any flexibility about taking CS after rank/match if you've already taken CK and received/resubmitted the new score?

If Brigham has to worry about their top interviewees ability to pass CS, I question their application review process.
