Interview invite!!! I was complete a very long time ago. July or August I think. I only saw 3 dates open in the middle of February. I wonder how much longer they'll continue interviewing.

Me too! hahah complete for 6 months, thought I was a goner for sure

Hi, I am going to the 27th interview, flying from California to Bradley. Does anyone have the same interview date? Want to share a cab??? 😛

Has anyone sent a Pre-interview LOI or In the Area e-mail to Yale? If so, how fast did they respond? Thanks!

I sent an in the area email and in a couple of days i got an acknowledgement that they had received the letter and a week later i got an interview invite. That was back in October.

so. when do decisions come out again? and any insight as to if acceptances/rejections/WLs go out at the same time or separately?

I think they all come out at the same time on March 15.

So I recieved an email from the Office of Admissions yesterday asking me why I never responded to their interview invitation in November ... thing is I never received it! I scheduled the interview for Feb 17th in the AM which appears to be the last day available. I'm excited to go! I'm out of the interview mindset though since I thought I was all done back in December... need to get back on board.

So is there anyway of knowing if you get an invite and it was lost in the email world? I only ask b/c this happened to me at Stanford, I only noticed via status page, when I called they said they sent it out... I searched spam, trash everything and never did receive an invite from them. I doubt I got an interview at Yale, but it is a little disconcerting...

I'm guessing the admissions office will contact you to check why u haven't responded to their invite and you'll know that way :smack:OR you can contact them via email and randomly ask. The Yale status page doesn't reflect interview invites and I'm don't think they're willing to give over the phone statuses.

I interviewed at Yale recently, and the admissions director said that they interviewed until February 18th and that they were pretty booked. I just wanted to let everyone know when they finished.

I just checked my email and I was originally scheduled for the 19th of February. I changed it to an earlier date but , at least at one point, there was an option for the 19th.

He probably did say the 19th. Friday makes more sense than finishing on a Thursday.

So given that people have been scheduling interviews on the last day, if I haven't heard any news, I should expect a snail mail rejection eventually? I just wish they would tell us earlier so we have a better idea what to expect...

the website says we will be notified BY March 31st. Does that mean they'll be sending out decisions throughout march, or are we all gonna receive them on march 31st? i dont understand how non-rolling schools work.

For all non-rolling school, we should hear back from them around mid-march, no matter they are good or bad news, right?

So how helpful is it to send an update letter to Yale? It is my top choice school.

😱 I am both excited and terrified to hear back soon. I just received a couple of acceptances and rejections the last couple of days to other schools. Even after interviewing at a couple of other top tier schools after Yale, I didn't get the same warm fuzzy feeling inside....

:luck: to everyone!

Judging from the Yale SDN last year, decisions were out on March 19th. Acceptances were sent via e-mail. I'm sure it is different every year but I think we can assume around then this year. It is possible that EVERYONE hears by March 31st in that those who are waitlisted or rejected hear later by snail mail. Not sure, just speculating.

I was just there. At least for MSTPs, they named a 'target date' of March 15 but made no promises.

anyone has the stats for yale admissions? such as oos, is, and intl: applicants, interviewed, and accepted? thanks.

32.9% of acceptance post-interview....not very high...🙁

yea - but most schools in the top 20 have a very low % acceptance post interview.

Just got back from the last day of interviewing. Yale was 👍. Apparently they still plan on handing out decisions on the 15th. Most students I talked to got accepted off the waitlist. But the small class size is pretty discouraging. I guess we'll see what happens.

WHOA... sorry if I am so late with this, but only 47 people are in the class?!?!?!

I think there's ~100. I think maybe you were looking at only the stats for women above

oOo.. ha. I was so thanks for the clarification. 100 is still a pretty small number of people accepted

well 100 is the class size, so they accepted 265 to fill their class last year.

your point still stands, though -- it's tough to get in

where can i find info on required undergraduate coursework for Yale?

I guess the waiting game continues. Each day's as nerve-wracking as the next. :scared:

Well guess I can finally put a face to your name now hahah. If i recall correctly you were trying to catch your plane on time, which I assume you made. We were going to share a cab to the airport, but what a surprise, when I called the airline, they told me they would charge me to switch. Figures, but anyhow good luck with the rest of the cycle, looks like things are working out pretty good for you so far.

Haha, that would have been me. US Airways is way stupid btw. There was so much room left over on that plane. :luck: to you too!!

If we still have no response from Yale (rejection or interview), can we just assume a "silent" rejection that will present itself in a letter format in mid-March?

yeah, they are done interviewing. sorry 🙁

I called the office today and they said not for another week...but effectively they are done as they have very few invites left to give out
