does yale send pre interview Rs, see a few random ones scattered on admit.org
I have been seeing that as well, but apparently that is more so for people who applied MD/PhD. I have no idea if that is true or not though

This year, in particular, there are some unusual trends in the application cycle that suggest more caution is warranted. As a result, we have made fewer initial offers than in recent years and may have more room than usual for students later in the process."
hopefully there is more movement this year
