if i got an II today, do you think the school will think I am brushing them off if I schedule my interview for the end of Nov? I don't want them to think I'm unenthusiastic about the interview or anything
How do you know your going to get an II in the first place?
You don't, but you can check your status page to see what's up.
I was complete 8/17 too but am still at the will be reviewed status. It looks like they're reviewing our complete date now though!
Thank you for your application. Your file has been reviewed by a member of our Admissions Committee. While we have decided not invite you for an interview at this time, we would like to re-evaluate your application again in the spring should interview spots remain. We have many completed applications to review and wish to hold on a final decision on your application until later in the cycle. Again, thank you for your interest in Drexel College of Medicine.
Well, I guess that's it for me. Good luck to the rest of you
when you submitted and when you were complete are two totally different dates. Your fee application fee was processed on 8/20 so i wouldn't be too concerned.I submitted on 8/16 but I'm still at

Should I give the admission committee a call? Anyone else on the same boat?
I was submitted 08.22 and complete on 08.27, still noted as "No decision available," for status, I am pretty hopeful though...Hang in there other no-decision-ers....I was complete 8/22 and have the same "No decision" status...I'm curious about the people who got put on hold, whether they went straight from "no decision" to a hold or from "no decision" to a "complete and will be reviewed" to a hold.
Can any current student talk about Drexel's location?
I have a trip to where I am doing Jefferson and Drexel interviews back-to-back and i have never been to Philly. From what i can see on google maps Jefferson appears to in the city, while Drexel appears to be way out in the suburbs. I am going to be staying close to Jefferson.
Is there any public transportation to get from the Jefferson/downtown area to Drexel besides a cab? Also, what is the general location like around Drexel?
Thanks if anyone answers this 😀
Does anyone know if Legacy means anything at Drexel? My parents go MD's from Medical college of PA and Hanamen (I can't spell it) which combined and were morphed into Drexel med.
Have your parents, grandparents or siblings earned or are in the process of earning an M.D. degree from Drexel University College of Medicine or its heritage institutions (Woman's Medical College, Hahnemann University College of Medicine, Allegheny University of the Health Sciences or the Medical College of Pennsylvania)? Also, please note below if your parents, grandparents or siblings are employed by the College of Medicine or any of our affiliate hospitals:
Submitted on 8/7 and was complete around 3-4 days thereafter. Got an II yesterday after checking the status. ( Had the "your file will be reviewed status for about 2 weeks). So, there's definitely hope folks! This process couldn't be any more random and the wait at some schools is killing me just as much.. but ultimately what happens is for the best, so don't give up! Ultimately, you will end up at a school that you are meant to go to- that's the belief that is getting me through all of this neuroticism...
The Drexel medical school campus is definitely in the city, but it's in the quiet residential neighborhood of East Falls which is sort of wedged between a few parts of the city that are a lot more dense (Manayunk, Germantown, North Philadelphia).
From Jefferson (and most places downtown), you can easily get to Drexel by taking the Chestnut Hill West line of SEPTA regional rail. You'd leave from the Market East Station (around 11th & Market St, many entrances) and get off at Queen Lane Station, which is a block from campus. It's $4 each way - use cash on the train or get tickets in advance at the station.
I think jefferson is scheduling out farther than that already...
I am pretty skeptical about this "Complete and will be reviewed" thing. It's been saying that for about a month.

II 10/17!!!! so excited. Do you guys think it's ok to send "in area" e-mail to Jefferson?

I know this has been asked before, but is Drexel open to 'in the area' email? Interviewing at Jefferson 10/3
and live far away..
I hear you. I swear I'm at the bottom of the review stack at every school. It must be an MCAT filter thing. =/

Just checked my status and found an interview invite!!! Stats are ~3.6/32, OOS
No email invitation yet, but the website says it will come and I can schedule the interview before I receive the email. The earliest dates open are in mid-october and lots of dates still available from october through december.
