Can anyone help answer a question for me? Do the chances of getting an acceptance at Drexel decrease drastically if one interviews later on in the cycle? I was put on hold and feel that I don't have much of a chance at this school anymore given the number of applicants.
 
It is rolling admissions,so I think towards the end of the cycle they would technically give fewer acceptances.
 
Hold status, and that seems like the kiss of death at most places. Oh well, I've been extremely lucky thus far in the cycle, so I'm not sweating it. Best of luck to everyone still in the running!

Mind sharing your complete date? And would you mind sharing the hold status? Does it actually tell you "on hold"?

scheduled my interview here about 3 weeks ago after seeing the invite on the status page, however I never even ended up receiving an Invite email. not a big deal since my interview's scheduled and all is right in the world, but i am declaring this school as the absolute WORST as far as communications go. am i right? yeesh.

I don't think they send you an invitation to schedule if you've... already scheduled. Did you at least get the appointment confirmation email though?

no I know, I just saw that some others in this thread had received the invite after scheduling. as I was saying, not a big deal, but in general over this cycle and last this school has not been great with communication
 
I agree. I got an interview invite status, then a interview invite email, and then finally 2 weeks later a complete email.
 
Hold status of death today. Seriously drexel!? Sigh. .. this was my last hope for a Philly school- guess I'm not coming home til residency. . .

Complete since 8/17 and still "will be reviewed". Put me on hold or give me an II! My file probably fell under someone's desk...
 
I can't believe they put you on hold! This whole process makes no sense

I actually had one school where I thought I was complete and was surprised to not have heard from them, I called and they had "mis-categorized" one of my LORs and were just holding my file waiting for another. Not exactly a lost file, but if I hadn't called I'd probably still be waiting to hear.
 
Wow, i've been complete and will be reviewed for like 1.5 months yikes! I feel like I'm in the abyss.

If you read the AAMC traffic rules, they really can't notify you until 10/15 unless you applied EDP. I would assume that includes via online status page.

Did they mention average turn around time? I suppose I could just wait until I interview next week, but I'm curious!

They said you should hear something back within 4-6 weeks.

Hopefully I'll hear back mid-November then! All my other schools won't get back to me until January 🙁 I'm jealous of all these Oct 15 people haha
 
Interviewed here on the first day they started interviewing (a Wednesday). I'm wondering if I'll hear something the week of the 15th about the committee's decision! 🙂

I might have my schools mixed up, but I think the only thing you'll hear is whether or not you're wait listed. If I remember correctly Drexel updates your status to either a final decision has been made and mailed or a decision has been made (wait list). If you receive the former you've gotta wait for the snail mail to see which decision it is. Hopefully they change this year though to all electronic or a phone call! Good luck!
