Yeah the update is usually done on Friday or the following Monday.

Actual mail. Quite a rare breed of mail these days. I think it has been put on the endangered mail list.

Hahaha, I actually love getting snail mail that you're not expecting. It's like getting a little surprise in the mail box. Waiting on a letter or package can be the worst though.

Does anybody know if you can cancel your scheduled appt and check for an earlier interview date? Or do you need to call to see if anybody has cancelled?

I got an II last week and was complete and under review as of 9/11/12. In state here though, if that affects it at all.
Nope, haha. I'm pretty sure the "Your file is complete and will be reviewed" status is a total lie and actually means, "Your file is complete and we threw it in the garbage. Sorry not sorry."

Hmm.. I've been complete since 08/30 and my status stilll says my application is complete and will be reviewed. Anyone in the same boat??
Just FYI, when they do finally mail the decisions, they use the slowest mail ever - it takes about a week to get to you. Be prepared.I'm with ya on that!!!! hopefully next week and not any later....

remember it is only October. The schools will stop getting new applications soon and should be getting to the ones that were complete earlier that were not reviewed. I think I saw someone say they got rejected from Drexel so they do reject you before interview. I guess under review is better than that at least.
Also keep in mind that Drexel gets >12,000 applications per year. As a result, everything takes a lot longer than most other schools. With Drexel, unless you have been rejected, there is still hope.

Not sure what their method is. I interviewed on Oct 3rd though and my status has been "Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel University." for awhile. I would expect yours to be updated to something like that by now.
II on Monday. Probably wont take then up on their offer though. Too expensive.

I interviewed 10/3 and still have the "your interview has been scheduled" status. I wonder why they get to some people before others.

Mine was like that last year for a while, but then I had two status changes in one week (with committee-->final decision). Just be patient. Some people will know quickly, others will have to wait a little while. There are a lot of people they have to cover.
I'm being a little SDN-neurotic waiting for this letter, but does anyone know, or has anyone seen anyone get rejected this early in the cycle after receiving the "final decision" status?
Because I'm thinking that, unless you were absolutely horrible on interview day, they would at least waitlist and not reject. Does what I'm saying make sense?

This is probably pretty variable, especially now that it's late in the cycle. It took about a month for me. You're gonna have to be patient for this school.
I am hoping what you're saying is true.

Does Drexel not send pre-interview rejects? It seems like they are putting people whom they don't want to interview "on hold" instead of rejecting them upfront. Any thoughts anyone?
FWIW, I've been complete since first week of september and been on "review status" for about 3-4 weeks now. I haven't even gotten the "on hold" status either. I wish they would just reject already so we could move on! 🙁
