Does anyone know whether Drexel has already given out all its acceptances? (And so now they are waiting for people to withdraw acceptances in order to give out more acceptances?)

My status is still stuck on "your interview has been scheduled..." I interviewed 9 weeks ago. I guess I got the extreme end of waiting.

You might want to call. I interviewed on the same day as you if I remember correctly and I have been with the committee for 2+ weeks

It depends a lot on your interviewee though. Some are really quick and some not so much.

Has anyone that interviewed on January 7th hear back yet?

Based on what I read here, January interviewees probably won't hear anything for a long time. I interviewed January 8th and my staus still says that my interview is scheduled.

I interviewed in late jan and am under review by a member of the admissions committee. I don't think when you interviewed impacts when you are sent to committee.

Do you mind telling me what your exact status is? Mine says "Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel University." Is that what yours says?

yup, thats what I have also

Does anyone know how long it takes for a decision after you are sent to the committee, or is the wait just as variable as being sent to the committee in the first place? Been at committee for about two weeks now and am hoping for a decision soon. Interviewed early December.

Man! When in December? I interviewed the 11th and still says my interview has been scheduled. It seems that the process is all over the place.

The 10th. I had the scheduled for an interview status for a about a week before it changed to being reviewed and then again to being sent to the committee two weeks ago. No clue why there is such a difference between applicants, but it is very frustrating. I guess I should consider myself lucky though, since I've had a relatively quick turnaround so far.

Did you send post-interview thank you letters or emails?

And to whom? Kelli Kennedy? The Dean? Faculty interviewer? Student interviewer?
Who makes the decision to extend an interview to you?

I sent a letter to my faculty and student interviewer since they were the ones I talked to although they don't have any say in whether or not to interview me.

I interviewed 1/23 and my status says that my application is currently under review by the admissions committee.

15 weeks currently post-interview and still at a member of the adcom. Whenever I call they say that the holidays delayed them, and don't give me any more of an explanation. This is so aggravating :/

How long after receiving a decision online do people usually get the snail mail?

I interviewed 12/03, did you?
Just called and the person on the phone said that she doesn't see anything differently than what I see on the status page and to remember to account for the holidays. Then she put me on hold for about 3 minutes and came back to say the committee hadn't made a decision on my file yet. No estimated time frame either. 😕

And so the waiting continues..

Depends on how fast USPS is, but it took me 8 days. Also you can save yourself some grief by remembering

A final decision = acceptance or rejection
A decision = waitlist

My status having reached a final decision has only amplified the mental grief I'm wringing myself through. Cheers

Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University.

after 7 weeks

Did u interview January 7th?

My status finally changed 6 weeks post interview.
Interviewed 1/8
Now I have the "under review by admissions committe status"

A little over a month post-interview for me and my status just changed to under review by the admissions committee.

I'm guessing that the speed of processing depends on who your interviewer is and which member of the adcom reviews your file.

I am finally under review by the admissions committee! After 20 weeks...and only after emailing the director of admissions. I hope I have a decision this Friday.

That is absolutely nuts. I have no idea how you stayed sane for that long!

Once your status is with the adcom, how long does it generally take before a decision is made?

So I emailed Drexel on Feb 4th to withdraw my acceptance...how long do they normally take to get back in touch with you in regards to a withdrawal? Should I call the admissions office and ask tomorrow?

Wow I also just got an II. Was not expecting this so late in the game! However, I will be declining the offer. Hope it goes to one of you guys!

BTW for anyone interested the available interview dates are as follows:
Feb 27
Mar 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28

It also lets me select April and May but I don't see any available dates for those months

Under review by Committee after 6 weeks. Come on Drexel show me some love!

Hello Guys,

I have already been admitted to a school in NYC and need to send my fairly large deposit very soon. I just recieved an interview invite and I signed up for March 19th. Do I have a good chance, interviewing at this time, of getting in?

Who did you email about withdrawing? And is the deposit refundable? Thank you!!

Honestly, at this point of the cycle. The school has thousands more applicants than they know what to do with. The odds of getting in are slim and especially hard to hear back in any sort of a timely fashion. If the NYC school needs a commitment soon, I would go with the sure thing.
