Dr. Saldana was awesome, my interview went well I thought. Then again, he was very conversational and I fear that may be the case with most interviews with him lol

Indeed! Best of luck to you.

Did anyone else feel less confident about their student interview?

anyone know about the demographics that make up the study body? such as how many from different undergrads (not surprising that harvard college is at the top of the list, but what is the percentage?), geographical regions (northeast, etc

Sooooo.... it'd be really cool if the MSTP and HST people would let us know asap when their acceptances come out, because it looks like theirs historically come out a few hours prior to NP acceptances. Sure, sure, call your moms and SO's and everything, but with your other free hand, go ahead and click over to SDN 🙂

Congrats everyone on making it to March! I for one feel like thats a huge accomplishment. And I don't mean "Oh its a huge accomplishment to interview at Harvard or whatever...". I mean for all of you guys counting down the days in February like me, congrats on making it. And if I hear from HST, MSTP I'll put it up.

Just received a phone call!!! ACCEPTED!

... to a dinner date with a friend. I really need to stop jumping every time I receive a phone call or I'm going to die early from a heart attack this week.

That's funny! I believe they will be emailing all decisions though...

You are EVIL EVIL EVIL!! 😱😡:meanie: My stomach literally dropped when I first read this!

How do you know it's monday?

She's probably just guessing. Historically they have released decisions in early March, so they'll probably come out some time between Monday and Wednesday.

either way these few days seem foreverrrr

anyone wanna call admissions and ask them if decisions will be out today? I got Canadian school interviews this weekend and this wait is definitely not healthy

Why are you scared to pick up a phone yourself?

I called 2 days ago and received the vague "first 2 weeks of March" answer...

I called many days ago and they said the next two weeks (i.e. between March 4th and March 15th).

Anybody know if we should bother to fill out Need Access before decisions are out?

Every time I see a new post on this forum, my heart skips a beat haha best of luck to everyone! Our wait will be over soon!

Ok, this level of stress is getting unbearable. It's most likely decisions are not coming out until at least Monday, so please try to relax. (I have no official information just a hunch.)
Here's something to make you relax: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSKXmVE32uk

I did! But that was because it was due today for a school into which I had already been accepted 🙂
I think Harvard actually has an extended deadline for financial aid sometime in April (since they don't give us decisions until this month), so if that is the only school you need to do it for, I would wait!

Anyone from Berkeley know how to get information about our undergrad grants and loans (like the amount we were awarded)? I've been out of school for a few years, and I can't get back into Bearfacts.. dangit. The info is required for the Need Access application. lol.

and...
Good luck erryone! No matter what happens.. I'm glad to have been in the running for the Harvard dream these past few months. This application cycle wouldnt have nearly been as fun without it... lets soak in this last weekend..

OK, thank you! A number of the schools I applied to require it, but based on all the ones I've been able to get in touch with, it's fine to wait until decisions are out (or at least until March 15) to submit.

If you can get your 1098-T form (tuition statement) from your college, your tuition and scholarship/grant information should be on there.

It's pretty diverse. I think there are something like 70 schools represented in the incoming class. We also come from all over the country and globe.

~36-42 hours until showtime! 😍😍😍😍
Come on Harvard, we were meant for each other since the day I was conceived! My parents have been gunning for this day for 24+ years!

I don't think you have anything to worry about Wangers....now the rest of us...

😍😍

what is the percentage of accepted to interviewed?

yup, I believe they said on my interview day they will interview 950-1000 in total!
this has been the longest weekend EVER... !!

Ah, looks like my chain of east coast rejections is finally about to begin! I guess I'm just not an east coast kinda person.

But really, I only applied to Harvard because YOLO. Good luck everyone!

Actually, YODO

I know some emergency med folks who would probably argue with you on that one.

Also, as the official SDN historian (deemed worthy by Tots), last year's decisions were released on Monday 3/5 by email at....

~1:30pm: MSTP (along with HST & NP if applicable)
~4:30pm: HST MD-only (along with NP if applicable)
~6:00pm: NP MD-only

Good luck tomorrow everyone!!! 😍😍😍

Curious how they'll deal with people who get into one program but interviewed at both. "Congratulations, you've been accepted to NP, but you aren't hardcore enough for HST, so we're delighted to place you on our waiting list."
and for who knows what reason, i heard wait-lists and rejections come out the following day, right?

Probably release separate letters for separate programs. Why draft a letter for every combination?

Current first year here. Just want to wish everyone good luck tomorrow! I remember being in your shoes last year and remember how stressful it all was.

For those who do get accepted, congratulations in advanced! Definitely come to revisit as lots of people are working very hard to make it awesome. Lots of people who went to revisit last year said it was a major factor in their ultimate decision.

If you end up being waitlisted, it is actually pretty good news. As someone who got in off the wait list last year, I can tell you the new pathway wait list is usually very small (30-50 students) and does tend to move substantially. There are several people in the current first year class who came off the wait list. If you continue to express interest in HMS and possibly provide substantive updates, I would say your chances of an eventual acceptance are good/very good.

If you are unfortunately rejected don't take it too hard. The admissions committee has to make lots of arbitrary decisions when narrowing down their final list. As has been said repeatedly in this thread, I'm sure you will all have a nice list of schools to choose from.

Don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions about the admissions process or HMS. Once again, best of luck!!

Good luck everyone!!!!! I hope I can be in the same position as you guys are 4 years from now😀
