Eep. When did you interview? Mayhaps I'll hear soon too, then.
Oi, I probably shouldn't get my hopes up to hear back before early Feb. then. -_-
Good luck everyone who's hearing back soon. To people that have been accepted, have you guys gotten anything else in the mail from UConn besides the original acceptance letter?
The admissions meetings take place the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month or every other Tuesday. I put it quotes because they adjust for holidays and that sort of thing.
So far they seem tove had meetings on the following days: 10/9, 10/23, 11/13, 11/27, 12/11 & 1/8.
Those accepted seem to hear back from UConn following the second admissions meeting after their interview (i.e. your file is not reviewed the following meeting but rather the one after that).
So, IF they stick to the 2nd & 4th Tue rule, the next meetings should be: 1/22, 2/12, 2/26, 3/12, 3/26, etc.
Therefore, if your interview is/was [ ] you should hear back a day or two after ( )
[12/14, 12/17, 12/21, 1/4, 1/7] --> (1/22)
[1/11, 1/14, 1/18, 1/21] --> (2/12)
[1/25, 1/28, 2/1, 2/4, 2/8, 2/11] --> (2/26)
[2/15, 2/18, 2/22, 2/25] --> (3/12)
[3/1, 3/4, 3/8, 3/11] --> (3/26)
Of course, this is only hypothetical and doesnt take into account: snow days and other natural/supernatural/karma caused disasters (you knew you shouldve cleaned Fluffys litterbox more than once during the month you were cat-sitting Mrs. Smiths little baby, and now your interview got cancelled. Karmas a b ); if UConn gets behind in the review process; if they decide to follow the every other Tue rule (then meeting days would change to: 1/22, 2/5, 2/19, 3/5, 3/19, etc.); and a million other things.
Other things Ive gathered: Obviously at some point theyll run out of allotted acceptances and ppl will be put on High/Med/Low alternate lists. These lists are ranked around the same time that the May 15th make-up-your-mind deadline rolls around; as ppl start to withdraw their acceptances, UConn starts pulling ppl from the High List until their seats are full.
Again, take all of this with a grain of salt and never forget Murphys Law and to change Fluffys litterbox.
I like you
Looking at last years thread, the second look day was early march? The acceptance letter was just a letter and I hope we get more info about stuff soon.
Yeah the acceptance was just the one letter. We should expect financial aid/second look info in the next couple weeks. I'd guess by the end of January since its tax return ad fafsa season.
I interviewed here on January 7th. Anyone think my interview group will hear back from admissions sometime late next week? I'm so anxious lol. This is my top choice!
Not much noise on this thread, let's change that! Is anyone here definitely matriculating?
I'm with ya brother. Also with you in the why was I born a jets fan boat.

I interviewed on the 7th as well and you should know by my username who I am-- who were you?
I'm thinking that we should hear back on the 22 or 23? I remember Dr. Zeff saying that we should hear back by the end of this month and if not by early next month.
Interviewed 1/11, and got my acceptance today!! Good luck to those still waiting to hear back!

I got the email this afternoon, which said it would be followed up by a formal acceptance letter via snail mail.What time did you get the e-mail? I still haven't heard anything. That must mean bad news. 👎
To those who have gotten the alternate status email, did it say you were a "high alternate" or "alternate"
Man, you can hear crickets in this thread.
