The University of Connecticut School Of Medicine realizes that each applicant brings a unique perspective from a broad range of experiences that have been influential in leading to a career in medicine. How will your own life experiences and unique identity enhance the UConn SoM classroom and community?

4. Have you participated in any of the Health Career Opportunity Programs (HCOP) or other outreach programs at UConn Health? If not, how did you learn about the University of Connecticut School of Medicine (e.g., recruitment event, word of mouth, research opportunity, website, etc)? Please list any activities/exposure and approximate time of engagement.

how are people approaching this prompt> "Highlight your experiences in the healthcare field. What insights have you gained about potential problems you will face as a physician? (1,800 characters max)"

should i be talking about volunteer experiences or personal experiences, like my family members hospitalized?
 
Why does this school have such odd prerequisite requirements lol. Also this school seems to have exceptionally low sdn participation rate. Are people just not excited about living in Connecticut or what.

Like I said before I think people just don’t care about this school lol
 
I was complete 7/2, IS II offered 9/12, interview was last Friday they said we would hear back in about a month

I interviewed earlier this week and need to send an update letter. However, my secondary portal doesn't have a section to upload docs/letters. Is that usually the case for UConn? I feel like I remembered them mentioning that applicants can upload letters to the portal after interviews (but I may be misremembering).

Same boat, similar LM and experiences there too. Hoping for the best for both of us and that we get our IIs soon

I’ve also heard they accept update letters post interview. I think it’s worth emailing or calling asking how to update, I believe it’s just through emailing

In my interview they stated that updates should be sent to the admissions email within a week of your interview date and should be structured like an AMCAS activities entry. Don’t think that was communicated elsewhere so may be worth contacting them to confirm.
