I just read through the posts here and the listing activities prompt someone posted said "in order of importance." However, mine doesn't say that....so I listed them chronologically. Am I the only one? Pasted the prompt here, too, just in case...


"In this section of the Supplemental Application, please provide a synopsis of your activities, achievements, and distinctions, including those that might have occurred after you submitted your AMCAS application. You do not need to repeat the "Experience Description" passages from your AMCAS application. Yeah i am getting the same prompt! my instinct was to list everything chronologically, including the activities that did not make it on the primary application...on the other hand, the example provided by Yale wasnt chronologic though...i have been quite confused...

What if he is a long time lurker who finally wants to participate? And he did not say he got all 3 invites today. Perhaps finally decided to just go to each of his threads and announce his recent invites?

Oh well, if it's a troll I just fed him a good meal lol! We'll know soon enough if anyone else gets a Yale invite here today as these things come out in batches!

As far as I am aware Yale hasn't released IIs yet...

They definitely haven't been sprinkled over the past few weeks, either.

But they should be coming out fairly soon if not.

I think Bieber was saying that his/her interviews were sprinkled over the past few weeks, not Yale's.

how long did it take for you guys to receive the secondary? i have been complete over 2 weeks now and have not received anything

Yake sends secondaries pre verification... they had an issue with them ending up in peoples spam folder and sent a 2nd email stating such. Also, they said "If you do not find the invitation email in your junk mail folder or your inbox, please let us know by replying to this email, and we will forward your original invitation email to you ASAP.

Keep in mind that until you add [email protected] to your safe-senders list, you will still need to check your junk mail folder for our future emails. Once it has been added to your safe-senders list, our future emails will arrive normally in your inbox"

Okay, I submitted my secondary for Yale over a month ago, and my AMCAS was verified more than a week ago. However, I did not receive an e-mail stating that they received my secondary application, and my letters of recommendation are still marked as not received, so certainly they haven't sent me an e-mail saying that my file is complete.

Is anyone else having these problems?!

It takes some time to process. Mine was about a week and a half before my letters were there and my file complete. Just sit tight and it'll get done

I can't confirm J Biebs but I did just get an interview invite.

Direct from the email, notice the typo....haha

"Keep in mind that our admissions process is non-rolling, which means that the date of your interview will have no affect on the final decision. Interviews will be conducted through mid-February, and all decisions will be sent in March."

I got an interview invitation this past Friday! Stats: 4.00 Overall, 4.00 Science, 38S MCAT, but I come from a smaller, low rank school from Pittsburgh so I'm not sure how much that weighs into the GPA considerations.

For those interested, I wrote the secondary essay with the idea of "Why Yale AND New Haven fit me." They are always looking for potential students who are willing to stay, they already know that if you qualify for an interview at Yale you'll probably get accepted at other highly ranked places too.

One final bit of information, for those F-1 visa students applying I'm an international student too so don't lose hope!
