Does anyone know if the past year prompts were 800 characters or 800 words? 800 words seems like a lot

I am pretty sure its characters...besides none of them were actual essays :/

Yeah It says words though (as did you above) which is why I was concerned because that is a very long essay!
Oh noooo I just read their posts again. Initially it was 800 characters, but they changed it to words 🙁
Most students just did a paragraph, because the AdCOM advised to keep the essays short
My app won't be verified until the end of next week (or the beginning of the week after that), so I'll probably be prowling this thread tomorrow to get a glimpse of the prompts if they're sent out. Good luck to everyone applying here though 🙂

I got the earlier e-mail but haven't gotten the secondary yet, and I'm not waiting on a test score! So don't worry. =)
It may not have gotten sent to everyone. I'm not waiting on anything and I've been verified since 7/8. So no worries guys. We'll probably get it early next week 🙂
Anyone else having a problem with marking "section complete" for the different sections on the secondary? It worked for the first section (about your app) but wont for the others... and I have everything filled out. Plus, I kept things under the 800 character limit (based on rumors- who knows what the real limit is) so I have no idea why the pages wont finalize.

Can anyone (current students, maybe?) speak to what kinds of things you felt Howard really looked for / was most eager to talk about in the Interview? I know Howard's mission and values pretty well already, but I'm looking for more of the "feel" and "types of students" they most like to have in their student body. if that makes sense.
I'm having the same problem. And it's not because the essay limits because I even deleted everything and left one word in each box..hit complete...and still nothing. I hope they fix this soon

I figured out the issue. You have to select "yes" for every question and then put "n/a" or anything else in each required text box. Then you can select "no" if it doesn't apply to you. This will allow you to click "section complete." It is a simple coding error. (I submitted successfully.)

Per the phone message, at this point, all verified applicants will receive their secondary as of August 15, 2014. I'm a bit perplexed as some look like they have already received their secondaries, but this is the latest info. I was verified on June 23, 2014 and no secondary yet.

Just got mine about 15 mins ago!
EVMS asked for a photo as well....BTW I did NOT see any essay questions? Am I blind lol

The email I got says to put them in the same place, ie Bio 100, Bio 100L or something like that.
Some schools ask for it as a way to identify you more easily on interview day and also because in the past some dumb students had someone interview for them.
Received mine today, hopefully I can turn it in tonight 🙂
Ok submitted today, without any technical issues. This was the last secondary for me so I'm ecstatic and ready to just sit and wait lol good luck everyone!
