during my interview Ms. Williams-Fowlkes was saying that last cycle they didn’t take as many students off the WL as they typically do but that this year they were anticipating taking more. so hopefully we see more movement in the next week or so

I remember her strongly emphasizing that a waitlist is generally considered an acceptance from them

Withdrew from the WL, this was my dream school but i got a full scholarship elsewhere and couldn’t pass it up! Hoping you all get off the WL and end up where you desire to be! 🤍

I was told the exact opposite at my interview (mid Feb). They were talking about how last year over half of the class came from off the waitlist (like close to 70%)

wow really… they told us that’s how it typically goes but last year was markedly less unexpectedly. either way hopefully it’s close to 70% this year!!

People updating their status through this cycle really helped me stay motivated, so I wanted to keep the hope going! We still have some weeks left and it seems that people are coming off the waitlist slowly but surely. One thing that helped my mental health is deleting the email app off my phone so I wasn't constantly checking, and I would limit myself to looking at my email only twice a day. Hope that advice helps someone!

I tried calling last week but wasn’t able to reach anyone and the voicemail was full. Did anyone else have better luck?

I have tried calling since Friday and haven't been able to reach anyone on the phone. I also emailed my final transcript and a few updates and I havent recived acknowledgement of recipt as of yet. They need to do a better job communicating. The radio silence is torture.

I called admissions. She was really nice about answering my question. I was told the waitlist is ranked and still active and will be until the incoming class is filled up until orientation or the list is deactivated, which those on it will receive notification once it is. She said things are slow and updates and other forms of communication will not impact ranking or anything else since your app has already been reviewed, so it’s just a matter of spots becoming available for the next person on the list. I’m sure they’ve been knee deep in incoming calls/mail in their inbox. Keep positive thoughts 🫶🏽
