Looks like we are up to 17 minus the admin (and I think 8-10 are EDP as it looked like they all joined around the same time over a month before anyone else).

Prepare for your post-interview counseling by critiquing your own application. Then find out what the adcom thought of your application and the things you could improve on. PM me if you would like.

Hey you can pm me or if you live in nm (abq) we can meet up & talk if you'd like. I can help in seeing ways to improve. I know it hurts but trust me when i say: don't give up & let all your hard work be for nothing. Get up, shake off the dust, & try again. You will make it.
 
Has anyone heard of any other dates that we can expect a descision? I know last year it was the last week of February when they sent out the descisions instead of March 15th.

Anyone have any idea of how many spots are still open? How many rolling rejections and acceptances have gone out? Just wondering what odds are like for those of us who haven't heard anything in months...
 
I don't know how many spots are left. However, I do know a couple people from last year who interviewed in September and got accepted when they sent out final decisions. So there's at least that.

They've kept our names in the ring this long, means they at least don't hate us hahahaha
 
When i interviewed in nov dr sapien said there were about 50 spots left
 
As of Jan 6th, an SDNer said during their interview there were 42 spots left. Since then I bet 12 or so acceptances have gone out along with rejections.... So I say 30 or so spots left.. So during final decisions 80 of us will either be accepted or wait listed.. But then again, I could be completely wrong haha

Yes, that's right, on my interview day in Jan. we were told there were 42 spots left. I've since been rolling rejected and I'm guessing the number of rolling rejections would be similar at this point to the number of rolling acceptances (probably even greater than the number of rolling acceptances). I would guess that close to 1/3 of total in-state applicants will be accepted and waitlisted (combined). I've heard the waitlist goes up to #50, but most years around 20 are taken. I'm really bummed but am creating a strategy and will work hard before reapplying. I have other applicants (and current med students who were successful after multiple application attempts) to thank for lifting my spirits and helping me regather motivation. 🙂 Best of luck to all, and for anyone who ends up not getting accepted this year - I'd be happy to talk with you about things I've heard, as well as my personal plan of action. I will be attending the exit interview scheduled for April as well to make sure I'm improving in the right areas.
 
It would be great if they would let us know today or tomorrow. My stress level would go way down.

If I induce mass panic with this post, I apologize. With that being said, my page on the admissions portal is getting an error message, saying that it "may not exist anymore."

Note that this is the same thing that happened recently, only I have reason to believe that this could be due to them updating final admissions actions.

Again, if it's a false alarm, I am so very deeply sorry!

Do any of you have an admission offer tab. I know a couple people mentioned that either last cycle or the one before that. They had an admissions offer tab before they received their acceptance e-mail.
 
No tab here... I believe they changed the website since that occurred??? Not sure though...
 
Ok great you all make me feel better lol. Maybe they did change everything. My anxiety keeps rising every passing day
 
Also not to freak anyone out, but the admissions tab in the portal seems like it is under maintenance. Some of the info is no longer available.
 
Yes I was accepted back in October. All of the pages in the admissions tab are missing.
 
I read in the past threads that they sent a preliminary email a few days in advance of the final decisions, is this still relevant or have they changed the process?
 
For everyone still waiting on a decision, is the last status on your portal the interview confirmation? Just want to make sure I haven't missed anything, like an under review update or something...

Also I believe they will send a preliminary email.. The thing is last year they sent the decisions the same day and 2 years ago they sent them a few days later?

I really thought we were going to hear something on Friday. Who knows now!

Ok thanks, yeah they need to stop playing with my heart. I can't take it right now.
 
They probably snicker at the fact that it's a leap year since it gives them an extra day to drag it out if they choose to do so. There's pregnancies that are in the third trimester that began AFTER some people interviewed...

I'm pretty sure its usually afternoon. Now, whether its this afternoon, tomorrow afternoon, or any random afternoon in the next two weeks is anybody's game. We should make a game of it hahaha

I say March 9th will be the day.
