Got the "complete" email of my secondary one day after I submitted it! all my letters were in!

Is it an actual email, or are you talking about the last page of the secondary app that says App Submtted / Fee Paid Status/ App Complete /Interview

For me it was an actual email with the subject " FROM HOWARD U COLLEGE OF MEDICINE -2016-2017-- YOUR SECONDARY HAS BEEN RECEIVED/SCREENED"

Does anyone know how applicants who retook the MCAT this application cycle are reviewed? I was marked complete way before the school received my new score. I was under the impression that schools wouldn't mark applications complete that were pending an MCAT score.

That is the advantage of re-writing ur MCAT and having a previous score! you get to be verified even though ur score is pending , I guess that holds true for being complete as well!

Dont worry, they will evaluate u based on ur recent score!

Hahahaha LizzyM score is a service by SDN that shows you where you stand as an applicant based on GPA/MCAT and what kind of schools are in your 'range'. Just google LizzyM Score Calculator and it should come up.

Hey everyone! So excited to talk to people that share my goal. I submitted my secondary about 2 weeks ago but got no email confirmation. However, when I check the actual website for the secondary, it says that my application is complete and the fee is paid. Anyone else having this issue?

Just FYI- I don't believe they update this regularly. I received an interview and my secondary still has the "no interview scheduled yet" status.

I can't quite answer that question because I'm not aware of anyone who's done it. But your post history indicates you have a pretty solid MCAT score already with respect to the Howard average (502.)

"This acknowledgement email means that all of your documents have been received and a preliminary review has taken place.

We will be using the AMCAS database to further process your application. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE "APPLY.HOWARD" site to see updates; you will not see them. That site is for internal office use only. Updates will come via email so that they are logged into the AMCAS system.

Final (reject) emails will begin to be sent in March (if not earlier) and will continue through June as we release applicants."

Just scroll down to other admission facts. I do not think that they screen their secondaries, but you should probably call to make sure.

I don't think it is a rejection email because I got this next day after I submitted my secondary. I do not think they would reject that quick lol

Gotcha! That was actually my plan this cycle, but I opted to retake my MCAT earlier.

For someone in his position I would probably wait until the next cycle to apply. By the time he gets his new MCAT back (in February) I feel like it would be incredibly late. I would call Howard to see if his new score would be considered, though.
