Man, idk why I thought this was the TCOM thread. #nosleep
ima remove that post
But you're still gonna be a doc. I read that there's another peak in prematches around mid December.

It'll be okay @GinnyWeasley! I have had 7 IIs as well, and only one acceptance so far. The wait to February will be long, but we pre-meds know a lot about delayed gratification! You don't have to decline until you rank your match list, so those spots would open up in Feb.
Just kind of disappointed, even though I expected this. 7 IIs and not one acceptance, both in AMCAS and TMDSAS.
I never got the email from UTMB but just went on TMDSAS out of habit and UTMB is listed on there in the pre-match withdrawal portal thing . Everyone go check! Maybe you got accepted and just didn't get the email either!
Interviewed August 12; LizzyM: 76
Is this legit...? Because I also have UTMB listed under the prematch withdrawal list but I haven't received an email.
Same here. I wanted the email though!I also have utmb listed in the prematch withdrawal screen but no email.
+1Same here. I wanted the email though!
+1 8:09!Just received the e-mail at 8:07am!

Same boat, I interviewed early here so I'm not sure how to take thatI feel ya. 5 IIs, good stats, no acceptances. So disappointed.
They just sent out an email for gmail users. Seems like they didn't get through
YUP, HBUDidya get in?
Acceptance email at 8:06 am!
Wait you received the email at 8? So are they sending them all out throughout the day? I thought it was just in one batch.

This is correctLooks like if you didn't get a 1 AM but have the prematch withdrawal option in TMDSAS, they sent another batch at 8 for conflicting e-mail services aka gmail
Yep, I have a gmail too.I saw on the Reddit thread, someone clarified that one batch was sent at 1 AM, but those who used a gmail account may not have received the email. It wasn't received for some reason, so they sent those emails again this morning!
Congrats!! What time did they send you the e-mail?Prematched, II~mid September, LizzyM~78
It's no longer honors/high pass/pass/fail?Pass/Fail
Nope. It's p/f . Internally ranked also.It's no longer honors/high pass/pass/fail?
Oh that's awesome! Since when? I may have missed this bit of information during the interview day.Nope. It's p/f . Internally ranked also.
Yes I did!Did anyone else get the incomplete status after you accepted the admission on the portal?
Alright, just making sure I somehow didn't screw up lolYes I did!
Trust me I know lol. For some time after I kept thinking to myself "I hope I chose the accept offer option and didn't decline it"Alright, just making sure I somehow didn't screw up lol
So called today- apparently they offered a much smaller amount of pre-matches than normal and that they're moving being a more match heavy school.
Facebook page???From this MS1, I'd just like to offer my sincerest congratulations to the class of 2021. For those who are still waiting for news, this game is far from over. I know the wait is agonizing, but hopefully by this time next year it will be a distant memory.
Yeah, one of my interviewers was super intense. I had to do some puzzles and answer difficult medical situation/philosophical questions, but the other was super chill, and we chatted about research, cooking, etc., oh and of course why I want to be a doctor! Some people have reported stress interviews here, while others have such relaxed ones. It's insane how much it varies haha
I went to a summer program there so I was familiar with the campus and some of the staff. That said, I stayed with a student which was awesome since I saved money and had someone to talk to before the actual interview. The interviews themselves were very conversational, very. Not once did they ask me why did i want to do medicine or the tell me more about myself, which I hope is not a bad thing. They mostly tried to sell the school and answer any questions, so make sure you have some good questions to ask! some other people who interviewed with adcom members actually had rougher interviews, a bit stressful. I remember a student was asked what is the downside of medicine. so prepare for the worst and hope for the best!Hey guys! Congrats to everyone on the prematch. I have an interview here coming up and am a bit nervous. can anyone give me their experience interviewing here? I would loveeee to go to utmb! thanks
