I feel you. I feel the same way whenever I see people get IIs to some schools I'm really interested in haha
 
How late into the night are interview sent out? I need to obsessively stop looking at the little "Inbox (1)" on my email so having a good cutoff time is probably healthy for me. Some people get interviews at 7 pm sometimes..

65 Lizzy m. URM. IS. From Corpus Christi, so I am from South Texas, just not quite as south as the Valley.

Oh wow! Congrats to you! I am at a 67 but am not from that area and am an ORM, so probably at a little disadvantage. I hope you kill this II!
 
Anyone that got the II get the follow up email that states the details of the interview day?

Wait really? That's really weird. I pulled this directly from the II invite email: "In the coming weeks you will receive an email from our Admissions Team with detailed information on how to select your interview date, an itinerary for the interview day, and information on transportation, travel, accommodations and the Valley in general."

It's been 2 weeks exactly...Idk what to do lol

Awk. The following is what my email said verbatim. Perhaps you should call because the initial date I wanted filled up quickly so I had to push it out further. Is there nothing on your portal?

Greetings from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine! We are delighted to inform you that the Admissions Committee has completed their initial review and would like to extend an invitation to interview for a seat in the class entering in 2017; congratulations!

Please login to your applicant portal at: https://mdadmissions.utrgv.edu to access detailed information about your Interview Day.

What? That's strange. My II email had a link that took me to the portal to pick a date. You should probably log into the portal. There should be an "interview" tab.

Well this is really weird... I'll give them a call tomorrow when they are open. I don't think it was an error either cause it says Dear prince0fpersia94's real life name,

at the top. That would be heartbreaking

I actually got both emails the first 2.5 weeks ago and the one telling me to login to the portal a week ago

How long do we have to decide on an interview date? I'm pretty sure I want September 16, but that might change once the semester begins.

I wouldn't wait too long. I had to choose the Sept 9th because August 15th (I believe) booked up in three days.
 
From what I heard tuition for first year class is reduced by 80%, and for second year class there is no reduction?
 
First II to this school on 8/1. OOS, LizzyM score of ~70. I waited two days to decide on a date and 4 dates closed closed up so I just took one. My professors will just have to deal with it.

The only dates left were the last week of October and the first week of November. They dates I saw disappear were earlier in October.

Lol what the heck? They've given out that many interviews already to where they've scheduled that far into the cycle? Jeez.

Yeah this makes me nervous. If I am even considered later I'd probably be their last choice

Yeah..for my other two Texas interviews, they were still offering me late August and if i wanted, early sept...

That's good news. IIs seem slow for most Texas schools.
 
II received today!

LizzyM of 71, IS, 514 MCAT, 3.73 cGPA, 3.61 sGPA. Good luck guys!
 
Do they send out secondaries to everyone?
