Waitlist movement has slowed though. My school was in the bottom third of waitlist this time last year, and this year they are still in top third.

Idk if this applies to every school or answers your question lol but for my WL school the class Facebook group usually has like 230 people but so far this year it’s stayed at 130 so hopefully that’s not the case!

yeah!!! this is waitlist SUPPORT thread. as a certified behavioral health technician, certified, among other things, in TRAUMATIC EVENTS MANAGEMENT (which CLEARLY fits this scenario) - i can tell that humor is a great way to handle really messed up stuff... hahahahha.

I hope this isn’t the case, sounds like a stupid system. I was fortunate enough to get an acceptance earlier in the cycle, but this school has one of the earlier CTE deadlines (July 1st, two weeks before most other schools on July 15). I am still holding out on some waitlists that I would be forced to drop on July 1st, simply because my school happens to have an earlier deadline...

Not really sure why schools can’t just enforce the PTE deadline. It sounds like some schools have, but based on the tweet it sounds like a lot of applicants are still holding onto their acceptances.

Finally some transparency! Thanks for getting back to me.

That all makes a lot of sense. I guess I incorrectly assumed that it would take quite some time for the schools to get the financial aid packages out.

I wouldn’t consider taking a few days to decide “holding multiple As” by any stretch. It’s a huge decision so I think you and other people who get a second A off a waitlist have every right to weigh their options before deciding.

Best of luck w/ the aid package next Monday. Maybe a full ride is in your future!

Update: I got a half tuition scholarship so 120k total which makes my dream school cheaper than my state school. Couldn't feel more blessed. Keep holding on people - good things will come your way!!

Yes - great school obviously and I would be happy to attend, but it would peeve me if I withdrew from waitlists, and then 2 weeks later a lot of waitlist movement happened at the CTE deadline as I watched from the sidelines lol.

Someone earlier was mentioning that if you are on WL and reapplying, then you can just apply to one school and add more schools after verification. But if you are verified in the middle of June then you can actually wait till June 30!
