2019-2020 East Carolina

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Thank you!
No I actually received it 4 days after submitting my secondary, my first two cycles it took me about a month to hear about an interview.
I think being a third time applicant and completing their Summer Program for Futures Doctors this summer played a large role.
Awesome! I had hoped to apply to their summer program but timing with my MCAT didn’t work out. I plan to apply into it if this cycle is unsuccessful.

Definitely worth it!! If you end up deciding to feel free to message me if you have any questions. Best of luck!

For next years' applicants who obsessively check SDN 😉

I know of two people who recently received interviews for late October and I believe they were complete in August

Does anyone know how often and what days the admissions committee meets? Also, what days of the week are acceptances and rejections sent?

Accepted on 10/18!!!!!!!!!! DID NOT expect this one bit since I am not ED!!!!!

If it is helpful to people, complete 7/16, II invite received 8/26, II on 9/17 and A on 10/18!
congrats that's amazing! Do you mind sharing mcat/gpa stats?

Congratulations!!! Your hard work paid off 🙂

Anyone else complete in August that hasn't heard anything yet? My LizzyM is only 68 so I may not be competitive enough.

I think a LM of 68 is close to their matriculant stats for the past few years, but they are very mission driven at Brody. It is still early in the cycle so don't lose hope

Feeling so stressed since it's the end of October. I submitted my secondary mid-July and I haven't heard a peep. Anybody in the same boat? 🙁

This is the only MD school I feel like I have a shot at so I'm pretty antsy about it. Fingers crossed everything will work out for all of us!
On the plus side, we have each other as support! The cycle is challenging and mentally draining enough, without us all competing against each other. Hopefully everything works out for the better for everyone applying this cycle 🙂

Did they update it monthly last year? Asking so I can stop checking it multiple times a week lol

Aww I’m sorry, I’m positive better opportunities are waiting for you guys elsewhere! When we’re you guys complete if you don’t mind me asking? Trying to prepare for any impact

R. Good luck to everyone else! To be honest would have chosen the school I was accepted at vs here anyways, so I guess the admissions team figured as much as well
If you dont mind me asking, how did they contact you?
