Did anyone else get an email with the subject line "RCN Expiration and Update"? I got one this week that just said my RCN had expired and to do a new one but I'm like... where's the update😳? What does it mean?! Way overthinking this lol

I did. I’m thinking they just mean RCN expiration date update?

Oh, like "update your RCN"? Weird phrasing but totally a possibility
I'm over here praying it means they looked at my application and that if they decided it was at least worth sending me that, I missed the R wave.

That’s been my hope as well, but I’m trying not to think too much into it and be disappointed later .

Sorry man : ( if you don't mind me asking, did they send R's out by email or phone?

Email! Knew from the subject line - "Final Decision - Brody SOM." Don't think anyone rejects via phone call, that would fall under cruel & unusual punishment

I don't know if this helps anyone, but my email subject read "Application Update- Brody SOM" when I was waitlisted last time (previous application cycle).

I'm just hoping on the assumption that if you weren't rejected and you interviewed early September maybe Friday will bring good news, but who knows
at work refreshing my inbox like "save me from this trash job Brody"

On interview day they said we are reviewed every committee meeting and placed into categories such as "rejected, acceptable, highly-acceptable, and offer". I would imagine people can sit in one of the middle two categories for many committee meetings without any news before they are bumped into the extreme categories or given a wait-list.

No "highly rejectable"?

And here I am with deafening silence from Brody since mid September . Here’s to hoping that since the first wave of Pre II rejections just went out maybe they’ll find it in their heart to send me an II?

My friend interviewed on October 2nd I believe and got accepted on the 18th. So I don’t know if they’re going in order or not. Hopefully stuff comes out soon!

It’s not in order. Like an earlier post said, after each interview they place you in one of four groups: rejected, acceptable, highly acceptable, offer. After each interview session they review the candidates to decide where to place the new interviewees and if past interviewees should be moved up or down. And because they are on a rolling admissions they only offer a percentage of admissions at a time (for example they’ve completed 35% of the interviews they will conduct so they will offer 35% of the acceptances it will take to fill the class).

Does Brody send an actual letter of acceptance in the mail or just the email and call?

Just got the hard R via email. I am post interview. I interviewed back in late August. Good luck to everyone else!
