Has anyone heard anything about waitlist movement? Feel like we should be seeing stuff by now

A friend of mine just said yes to her acceptance so I think once they know everyone who is coming then they will work off the waitlist

From their FAQs:

June 24, 2024: “Commit to Enroll” is required to be selected by students matriculating to the College of Medicine – Tucson. Failure to do so will result in rescinding of the admission offer.

Sure! I called a couple months back to inquire when the waitlist/rejections would come out. The lady was very kind and said that last year (2022-2023) they exhausted their waitlist so there was a lot of movement. She sounded like it was a novel event. Im just theorizing, but I think maybe since they nearly didn’t have a full class last year, they expanded their waitlist this year and haven’t really been using it.

And do we know if the class size is 120 or 160 this year? I remember seeing they were going to increase it, but wasn't sure if that would be for class of '28 or not

I believe they were not able to increase it just yet and the ‘28 class will be 120 still

I called and they confirmed the class size this year is 120. With 138 people in the Groupme, I assume the spots are filled but not everyone who will withdraw their acceptance has yet. Does anyone know if the CTE deadline was pushed back?

I believe it’s still June 10th. But since we haven’t seen movement at all and there’s 138 in the GroupMe, I think Im gonna hang up my hopes for an acceptance lol, best of luck everyone else!

I called them and they didn't really give that much information. They just said they're still finalizing their class and that they don't have a waitlist this year. We've been waiting so long without any communication. Are they just giving us false hope at this point? 🙁

Ugh, the lack of communication is kinda killing me. Crazy that it's the end of May and we haven't heard any update. Everything feels confusing haha
