Hi, I was wondering if the Facebook group has been created.
I haven’t seen anything about the incoming class fb group yet, but yes there is an unofficial group me! Feel free to dm me if you’d like the link 🙂it has not yet. when it is, you will get an email!

Idk but I'm hoping so too, still waiting for interview. Someone in this thread earlier said they do interviews through the end of May.Anyone know if they are still sending out interview invites? This is my top choice, I am out of state though with no ties to CA.
i got one last week, i am in state though idk if that makes a differenceIdk but I'm hoping so too, still waiting for interview. Someone in this thread earlier said they do interviews through the end of May.
They most certainly are. Look at previous year threads + consider that DO schools typically interview thru May or even later.Anyone know if they are still sending out interview invites? This is my top choice, I am out of state though with no ties to CA.
Those of us that were WL were informed that interviews go on through May because beginning in late May/early June, they start pulling from the WL. Keep your head up, you might get that II soon!Anyone know if they are still sending out interview invites? This is my top choice, I am out of state though with no ties to CA.
Just sent you a dm with the link! If any other accepted folks would like to join, please feel free to message me 🙂can someone post that group for accepted students pls
this is very helpful, thanks!is the interview panel structured in a way where you don't have a 1on1 interview?
it's a group interview - 1 medical student, 1 faculty PhD interviewer, 1 MD interviewer. You are in a group with three or four other applicants and you get asked questions, sometimes personalized to you and sometimes addressed to everyone.
Of course! It's mostly a vibe check - pay attention to other people's answers and just demonstrate you are excited to interview there 😊 good luckthis is very helpful, thanks!
Congrats! The panel interview was under an hour for sure, good luck!IS II yesterday! Surprised I still receive an interview at this point in the cycle. Can anyone let me know how long the actual panel interview is since the whole session is around 5 hours? Thank you!
i think someone mentioned it isnt finalized until June or something like thatDoes anyone have a link to their match list from this year? I couldn’t find it
Apparently they don’t release the full list until sometime in May or June. But I did hear the match was really good, including anesthesia, derm, ortho, pathology, and radiology (there was even an ortho match at UCSF!) Common programs were Kaiser Sacramento, St. Joseph’s Stockton, UCSF Fresno, UCSF, UCLA, UCSD, and several out of state. Hope this helps!Does anyone have a link to their match list from this year? Hugeeeeee achievement there! TOURO matches well into CA. Will be interesting to see what changes with the increased class size. CHSU's match list wasn't too bad either.https://x.com/UCSFOrthosurg/status/1768738831505949146
trailblazing stuff here
CHSU also received its 7-year accreditation status so big things are coming to their program too!Hugeeeeee achievement there! TOURO matches well into CA. Will be interesting to see what changes with the increased class size. CHSU's match list wasn't too bad either.
Hi, they usually don't call for acceptances; most forms of official communication and updates is through email and/or postal mail. For the time of the email update release, the timing may vary depending on how busy the admissions office is.anyone know the time frame they would call for acceptances?
Here's what I saw from one of the people who posted on the GroupMeAnyone know when the second deposit is due or what to do next? I’m so confused like the school has had virtually no communication with me since the A
I was told you could drive up to 60 milesCould someone who attends/attended Touro CA please let me know about the quality of the clinical rotation sites? Is there a high patient volume? Is it common to have to drive far to attend different core rotations sites? How common is it to stay at one place?
The second deposit is due on May 15th I believe. If you log into your Touro One portal and go to TUConnect, you will find a webpage with tons of information as well as a checklist of things to do before orientation. They just opened this page 2 days ago.Anyone know when the second deposit is due or what to do next? I’m so confused like the school has had virtually no communication with me since the A
I am a fellow applicant, but I asked this question during the Touro talks/OMS1 panels/on interview day. Basically, Touro doesn’t have its own hospital. Rather that have contracts with various hospitals throughout California, with most of them being in Napa, Fairfield, Vallejo, Stockton area, Fresno area and some in Bakersfield. You get rotation locations based on a lottery system, so you might not always get the exact location you want. From what the current med students said, it sounds like it’s pretty typical to have to move around a few times in 3rd and 4th years for your rotations. Most of them said they move for their rotations as it is unlikely to get all of your rotations close to the Touro campus.Could someone who attends/attended Touro CA please let me know about the quality of the clinical rotation sites? If any OMS’s or Adcoms are reading this and I said anything inaccurate, please correct me if I’m wrong.

first semester is often - like every week ish because you have anatomy running at the same time as fundamentals of medicine modules (which includes cell bio, immuno, biochem, etc.) the exams themselves are not that intense. There are anki decks made by past years and also google drives. On top of that, there are practice questions professors give. Also, it is pass fail! So definitely, doable. How often/intense are the exams at Touro?
We wish lmao. You probably heard there is a Touro residency program in stockton from touro alums, but absolutely is not on campus or in vallejo. Thanks for answering! But I heard from the Adm Com that Touro has a teaching hospital.
they are behind this year due to fafsa changes. It won't come til May or June.I was wondering if anyone has gotten their financial aid packages yet? Thanks!
You're a real one! 😭Just withdrew my acceptance, I hope it goes to one of y'all 🙂
Finding housing is not that difficult. There is always rooms for rent near campus or if you want more privacy there’s always a ton of apartments and studios for rent a little further from campus. I know people that were waitlisted that got housing pretty quickly. It’s not anything to really worry about. For anyone that was WL previous years and was taken off: how quickly were you able to find housing? I'm worried that if I get off the WL it will be near the start of the semester and will struggle to find a place to live lol
Hi, current OMS-1 here, actually the school does have a limited amount of scholarships - one of them is the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism) Scholarship, and the amount varies depending on the amount budgeted to scholarships by the admin and the number of people who apply, etc. From this past year, the IDEA Scholarship recipients received $8000 for the whole year, divided into two semesters so $4000 each semester. There's some criteria to qualify for the scholarship and I believe that info will be sent out to all incoming OMS-1'sthey are behind this year due to fafsa changes. It won't come til May or June.
The school does not have grants or scholarships so just expect to either pay out of pocket or take out federal loans for the amount
