In my own stupidity, I didn't notice the 30 day deadline for the secondary and didn't finish it in time.
Honest mistake, moved on, whatever.

UConn just sent me another secondary invite with a new due date in November. Thanks, but what the hell? I've never seen this happen, an extension without even asking for it.
Do I even fill it out?? feels like a donation atp

I'm torn between it being the ADCOM seeing my stats, liking them, and resending it, or simply a ploy to get my money.
WDYT?
They don't need your money, I promise you that. Ultimately your decision in terms of if you A) have the money to submit, and B) if you think you'd be a good fit and actually want to go here. Seems like they're early on enough in the cycle that it's not automatically disqualifying if you submit within the week.

Same thing just happened to me! Though I highly doubt they saw my stats and chose to extend because low MCAT gang. I wonder if the extension was an error or deliberate…

Update: Got an email from UConn explaining they extended the deadline literally a second after posting this. Maybe it’s a thing they’re doing this year?

Never ended up submitting my secondary here and just got an email telling me my deadline has been extended in order to submit one...I'm wondering if this a blast email they send to all incomplete applicants or if it would be worth it for me to submit a secondary here

How long after submitting the secondary did it take to get a complete email? I submitted 10/8 and still haven't received anything

I received an II today but it says it will go from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Is this normal how does it take this long?

5.5 hours is pretty normal. Mine have been 4-5 hours

It’s an online interview, so much of it will be answering questions?
I haven’t interviewed at UConn. But it usually is information sessions, meeting with students, maybe a virtual tour, and then the interviews. Maybe someone who interviewed can help explain how UConn does it.

Any November interviewees know when we’ll hear back? Also historically what percent of the waitlist usually get off?

They said they would let us know by the end of november but usually it takes them 5 weeks so im not sure
When did you interview? I think they said they meet by early December or end of November. I interviewed 11/4 when they said this.

Hi everyone, just wanted to pop in to say that I'm a current first-year medical student at the University of Connecticut, and I'm more than happy to answer any questions that people have about the program! Wishing you all of the best of luck with this cycle 💜💜

can anyone give any insight into the interview day and how comfortable/ chill it was?
my experience was so chill! It was my first interview and I was so grateful because my second interview was more stressful and I was so glad to start with this one. The initial presentation was a meet-and-greet type session with the dean (can’t remember specific title) but he was super nice and the icebreaker was very interactive and chatty. He had read all of our applications and had a notepad with info about all of our interests and the whole session he clearly was interested in all of us as individuals and wanted to involve us. I had an interview with a faculty member and one with a student and both were extremely conversational and personable. Overall my favorite interview experience so far!

Just want to confirm that after you submit the secondary, it’s radio silence. No confirmation of submission or payment, right? I added this school in mid November and sent my secondary on 11/24/24 and zilch. Thanks from a neurotic future doctor.

This was my experience. Drove me nuts cause I couldn’t remember what day I submitted and couldn’t find a confirmation email to confirm.

Just received a second email today extending my secondary deadline. First extension was sent mid October. Is this worth looking into/applying or does everyone get these? OOS.
