At the interview session earlier this week, they said the last interviews are the end of February. They have two more days where they send out acceptances (February 24th and March 10th). They don't send any rejections until after March 10th. Then they start sending out Rs and Waitlist spots.

Did anyone get an acceptance? I know it might be too early… but still… Why can't they just send out the emails 😭
Remember, Emory sends out acceptances by physical mail to your mailing address, followed a few days later by confirmation in your email or portal.
From their website:
Each month between October and early March, the Admissions Committee will select interviewed applicants to be accepted. Letters of acceptance are mailed after each Committee meeting.

We operate on a rolling admissions cycle, so if you are interviewed, but not selected for admission at the Committee meeting following your interview, you will still be eligible for selection for admission at all subsequent meetings.

When the last Committee meeting takes place in early March, and the final round of acceptance letters are mailed, the Committee will determine which interviewed applicants will be offered Alternate Status. Notification of Alternate Status will be communicated via email. Alternates are accepted throughout the summer until the class is filled.

Since it seems Emory may have mailed out As on Feb 17th instead of on the 24th itself, do we think they may mail out As earlier than March 10th?

The 10th will be when the decision is posted on the portal/emailed, but the physical letter will most likely be sent out before then. They said they wanted the mail to get to people before it was posted online (that's why they sent mail yesterday but people won't see anything on their portal until 2/24)

This is confusing - are y'all getting accepted through the portal before the stated date of February 24th? Bouncing off of sleepwalking's post, I also thought decisions would be sent out on the portal on the 24th or the day after. I would love any clarification, thank you and congratulations on the A!

When was your interview?
Did you get an email notification too, or just randomly check your portal?

do we have any idea how many people have been accepted already? i hope they are not going to over-accept like they did last year, when they could not accept anybody off of the waitlist. sincerely, someone who was waitlisted by Emory last year and is anticipating another WL 😢

They told us in my interview they were sending less acceptances this year, presumably to avoid over-accepting and to draw from the waitlist.

Hey guys! I have my interview next week and I still haven't gotten the interview info packet they sent in the mail. Was there anything in it that you could not find online/on their website? I'm just wondering how necessary it is that I receive and review it before my interview.

Has anyone who’s already interviewed but not heard back yet got an email about missing financial aid documents in the past couple of weeks? I’m assuming we don’t need to do anything unless we’re accepted and maybe anyone who already completed their FASFA got the email no matter what?
