Those under review, when were you complete?
Hey guys! To all the applicants here, best of luck this year! Im a current M1 at Hackensack, open to answering any questions as best as I can
Hey, Im not on the admissions committee at all so I actually am not sure. Honestly, this school was my last interview (scheduled for March 13) and I only got accepted April 24. All I can say is trust the process and let the process happen.Thank you so much! I’m wondering if you know when IIs start getting sent? I’ve heard HMSOM usually starts in late September but wanted to confirm![]()
i submitted 7/16 and didnt get the complete/under review email until aug 7. they are kind of slow to review, you will probably get the email later this month.did anyone submit 7/28 and is still not complete/under review?
I submitted 7/23 and just got the "Preliminary Review Complete" notification.did anyone submit 7/28 and is still not complete/under review?
what is this?I submitted 7/23 and just got the "Preliminary Review Complete" notification.
They slowly move people to complete and start their review of their file.what is this?
Thank you! This helps a lotI submitted 7/23 and just got the "Preliminary Review Complete" notification.
When did you email them? If it's been several business days, and you have submitted 3 appropriate LORs, I would send a follow-up email.I have been on hold since 8/2 due to “missing LORs”. I emailed them back and I haven’t received any response. Is this normal?
How long does it take to be 'complete' typically?

just checked again (08/21) and my LORs still say "pending review". should I be worried / email them?so its normal for the portal to say that LORs are "pending review" even tho my committee letter was received on 7/17. It also says that "prerequisite verification" and "application review" is pending.
I submitted secondary on 7/29/24
I’d wait one more week. They’re slow. I wasn’t under review until mid Sept last year.just checked again (08/21) and my LORs still say "pending review". should I be worried / email them?
I submitted immediately upon receipt of the secondary on 7/15 and didnt get LORs etc completed until 8/7. I wouldn't worry, the status will change once they get to your app. And they'll send you an email update about it! 🙂just checked again (08/21) and my LORs still say "pending review". should I be worried / email them?

Hey guys, current student here. Feel free to DM with any questions or post here but be aware, I will likely only respond to messages every couple of days due to my schedule.does any one know what dual degrees they offer? or how to find research projects or labs at this school? i feel like the website is both very informative and says a lot but also says absolutely nothing at the same time.
+1Just got marked as completed over a month after I submitted lol
what would you say is the school's mission? is the school particularly research or service oriented?Hey guys, current student here. Feel free to DM with any questions or post here but be aware, I will likely only respond to messages every couple of days due to my schedule.
Dual degrees include MPH or MBA, are probably the most common ones that people do. They also have certificate programs in stuff like law, biomedical, etc. For Phase 3 I think the most common activities would be more clinical rotations, aways, dual degrees, or research.
For research, most of the time research projects are found by asking around with students, or in the specialty-specific group chats. If you ask people will usually find a way to plug you in. There are excel sheets with PIs and research projects that get distributed but also if you just ask anyone clinical in a field you are interested in, they will link you with someone if they themselves don't necessarily do a lot of research.
The mission they have listed on the school's website is actually pretty accurate. They are big on increasing access in NJ particularly. I would say the school doesn't heavily lean one way or the other for research/service like Rush with service, for example. There is more scheduled stuff in the curriculum for service based things, I would categorize most of the human dimension course under that umbrella.what would you say is the school's mission? is the school particularly research or service oriented?
retweetdid anyone submit 7/28 and is still not complete/under review?
I submitted on July 7th (when the secondary came out) and was marked complete August 7th. It will probably take longer for those submitting later due to the volume of apps. Their cycle runs later than most, so I wouldn't worry about it quite yet.retweet
samesubmitted 07/29, still pending review TT
+1 btw, submitted 07/31 and still pending review 🙁submitted 07/29, still pending review TT
