Hey, Im not on the admissions committee at all so I actually am not sure. Honestly, this school was my last interview (scheduled for March 13) and I only got accepted April 24. All I can say is trust the process and let the process happen.

I have been on hold since 8/2 due to “missing LORs”. I emailed them back and I haven’t received any response. Is this normal?

When did you email them? If it's been several business days, and you have submitted 3 appropriate LORs, I would send a follow-up email.

so its normal for the portal to say that LORs are "pending review" even tho my committee letter was received on 7/17. It also says that "prerequisite verification" and "application review" is pending.

I submitted secondary on 7/29/24
just checked again (08/21) and my LORs still say "pending review". should I be worried / email them?

I submitted immediately upon receipt of the secondary on 7/15 and didnt get LORs etc completed until 8/7. I wouldn't worry, the status will change once they get to your app. And they'll send you an email update about it! 🙂

are our casper scores supposed to be on our application portal? i submitted 7/31 and my letters & pre reqs are still under review but no casper shows on my checklist and i sent my scores a month ago

does any one know what dual degrees they offer? or how to find research projects or labs at this school? i feel like the website is both very informative and says a lot but also says absolutely nothing at the same time.
Hey guys, current student here. Feel free to DM with any questions or post here but be aware, I will likely only respond to messages every couple of days due to my schedule.

Dual degrees include MPH or MBA, are probably the most common ones that people do. They also have certificate programs in stuff like law, biomedical, etc. For Phase 3 I think the most common activities would be more clinical rotations, aways, dual degrees, or research.

For research, most of the time research projects are found by asking around with students, or in the specialty-specific group chats. If you ask people will usually find a way to plug you in. There are excel sheets with PIs and research projects that get distributed but also if you just ask anyone clinical in a field you are interested in, they will link you with someone if they themselves don't necessarily do a lot of research.

what would you say is the school's mission? is the school particularly research or service oriented?

The mission they have listed on the school's website is actually pretty accurate. They are big on increasing access in NJ particularly. I would say the school doesn't heavily lean one way or the other for research/service like Rush with service, for example. There is more scheduled stuff in the curriculum for service based things, I would categorize most of the human dimension course under that umbrella.

Did you guys leave the question asking about convictions blank, or answer "No"? I kinda wanna leave it blank in case a response might flag the application or something.

Oh wow I didn't even think of that, I ended up putting "No" but the box does say 0/0 words... I think you're probably overthinking it though and judging by how long they are taking makes me think they don't filter/flag and read what you are putting.
