Can anyone speak about their experience at the on-campus event? The agenda is a bit frightening, especially with the group discussions. I was just curious as to what types of questions they asked and if it truly felt like a second "interview" I am going to attend this Friday and would appreciate any insight

You rotate with a group of other students and talk to different members of the staff. Kind of like breakout room sessions. It's pretty low stress, it's just an opportunity for you to ask questions. Maybe just have a list of questions prepared

My stats were honestly not that high but I am IS, submitted multiple update letters about ongoing research/grades/ current activities and visited the campus once after my interview. Showing interest in the school and keeping them updated about your activities can definitely help them get more familiar with you and as others have mentioned, they want people who want them. They also call you to confirm if you are still interested so that’s also a good sign to watch out for. There’s bound to be more movement in the coming weeks so stay hopeful if you are on the waitlist and send in those update letters!!

I missed a phone call from Suzanne on Feb. 25th. I feel like that was my opportunity to get of the waitlist and missed it 🙃

Definitely call back! They first call to confirm if you are still interested and can pay the initial $2,000 deposit within 24 hours if given an acceptance. Getting a phone call is a really good sign that they may be interested in pulling you off of the waitlist so I would call back as soon as possible.

She was out of office until today. I did call her back and left a message last week. I also emailed the person she left to answer in her absence and did not recieve a response. Hoping since Suzanne is back in office tomorrow I will hear from her.
 
For those of you considering LECOM Elmira, how do you feel about the PBL pathway? Coming from an undergrad that was mostly lecture-based, I’m a little worried about adjusting to the curriculum. Do you know if they offer online lecture recordings? Also, is the grading system pass/fail?
 
Anyone have any tips for getting off the waitlist? It’s my top choice and it’s not really feasible for me to attend the campus day since I can’t take off work 🙁. Thinking about sending a letter of intent, but I don’t have any significant updates to my application.
 
Hey all I have a question. I was WL’d from LECOM Elmira. My secondary was completed July, file after interview completed in December. Went to the on campus day in January and sent in an LOI. Filled out the survey to show I was still interested to be on the waitlist. About a week and an half ago I got a call from admissions that I was towards the top of the waitlist, and they started seeing withdrawals/movement. I called again today and go told the same status, but that they’re seeing and expecting more movement. Does anyone have any experience with this? What time should I expect to hear back? Do you think I will hear back?

Yeah I’m also still waiting for updates, I haven’t gotten a phone call so I sent an email and they said there has been movement but in the next few weeks movement will increase. So, I think you’ll hear back soon!

I think it’s a good sign & tht we’ll head back soon. My problem is I don’t have two grand to put down right now and I am on a few other WL. LECOM is my least ranked, they didn’t give a date by when we have to complete the form for so I’m wondering what to do, really don’t have the money but if it’s my only acceptance I’ll go ofc.
 
Has anyone called Suzanne to ask where you are on the waitlist/alternate list?
 
someone on the older years threads said that AL is a soft rejection, but others in person have said AL>WL in terms of priority so I genuinely cannot tell you what is true. I wish I knew myself 🥲
