If you interviewed 1-2 weeks ago unlikely you hear anything but held for further review but they did say it was possible to hear a decision.

Hold after what I tht was my best interview early November. I really don’t get this process. Do they have a decent hold -> A rate? Does anyone know? This is one of my top schools

To my knowledge the hold thing is new for this year so I have no idea. I felt like my interview was terrible but I was really hoping that maybe they didn’t think so too. I’m sorry you’re also on hold :/ Waiting until February for what I feel for me will be a waitlist is so frustrating. In the past they did take a good amount of OOS off the waitlist it seemed according to SDN thread then but who knows how this hold thing goes into that except it seems that the hold becomes a WL decision after Feb 12th. think what happens to us will also depend on if people withdraw before February 12th or wait until like May to decide.

To add to all of that, they utilize a separate waitlist for OOS and IS. It seems like the OOS waitlist has a lot more movement than the IS one due to IS students really only having 2 Kentucky options to pick from. Wishing everyone on hold the best of luck in February!

To me it seems like a hold just means they haven't had a vote on your application yet. But I could be wrong
 
Nobody knows what the hold to A rate is because holds are new this year. There is only one decision day left, so if you are not accepted on that third day, you will be placed on the waitlist. I don’t want to speculate too much, but a hold could mean that you interviewed too recent and they haven’t had a chance to review you yet, or possibly they have already decided to waitlist you, we really don’t know since they are new this year.

Yeah they could also be truly considering us but unsure and re-present us at each meeting but it’s like a hung jury situation lol. I think there is a vote number you need to reach for an acceptance or rejection and we may be stuck in the limbo range. I have had a moment to be sad boi myself and am back feeling okay. It is what it is but man I wish we knew before February.

I doubt it. They seem to be mixing things up this year with the new hold system, but past years they sent II into even March. Last year on SDN people reported II for waitlist positions specifically vs straight admission, but who knows if that is still a thing. I would guess that since Feb 12th is the final decision date before the waitlist truly becomes a thing, invites probably go into January for straight admissions to allow enough time for the interviews to actually occur before decisions (I think that when I was invited my interview date was like 2 or 3 weeks after my invite?). This is all guessing ofc. But all that to say that I wouldn't lose hope yet! Hang in there!
 
Hello guys! I was wondering if this school accepts update letters or a letter of interest? I have been put on hold after interview as well but on their website it looks like they might not accept them unless specifically requested. Just wanted to see if I was reading this correctly!

Me! Luckily it says I’m still in consideration for an interview at least.
 
I noticed the interview cycle for Louisville is shorter this year which kind of sucks. Last year it went through mid-February instead of ending in January.

also not relevant but I got waitlisted here last year and haven’t gotten an interview this year, I might be cooked lmao

From what I’ve seen they did interview past that last year so hopefully it’s not over yet.
