Us IS ppl w no II or R
OOS no rejection (yet)👀
Wondering this as well. have any november people heard back yet, or should i take this an Rjust curious, do they send out As in one big batch near the end of the month? that’s what it seems like from cycletrack
They should this monday, but they announced they won’t on 12/23 and 12/30 due to the holidaysDo they plan to send out more interviews?
I interviewed the first week of Nov and haven't heard back. I don't think they soft R at all so don't worry! It just hasn't gotten to us yet 🙂Wondering this as well. have any november people heard back yet, or should i take this an R
You hear back by the end of the month after you interview, so probably next week. A’s are also sent out in one batch that month but you might not get the call at the same time.Wondering this as well. have any november people heard back yet, or should i take this an R
I don’t think you heard her correctly. Medical schools have to fill their class in April (ie have sent enough admissions offers sent to match their class size) via AAMC rules. Michigan typically offers around 350 A’s per year as not everyone who get an acceptance will attend. Either way there are still plenty of A’s, chill.Anyone notice that the admissions tracker says they’ve made 158 offers already? That seems to contradict a few things Carol Teener said during my interview day. She said that Michigan doesn’t interview for the waitlist and that everybody has an equal chance regardless of when you interview. She also said that “because of AAMC traffic rules”, Michigan would only make enough offers to fill their class until March/April when people let their acceptances go. None of these can be reconciled if they’ve already made 80% of their offers until April.
i believe historically it has been closer to 330, including those off the waitlist. Either way though, I agree that there are plenty more on the way!I don’t think you heard her correctly. Yeah, just couldn’t be bothered to get the exact number, knew it was around that.i believe historically it has been closer to 330, including those off the waitlist. Either way though, I agree that there are plenty more on the way!
As we wait for the Slack invite... Just made a groupchat for any Oct / Nov admits who'd like to connect - DM me for the link!
In short:as well as why the pre-SOAP match was lower last year. @Mr. Macrophage answered the match question in the Emory vs. Michigan thread
At what time do they send acceptance letter? I kinda feel this week they will send a new wave.
Congrats!! Did they say when emails would be released?+1 OOS A just now!!!! Interviewed 10/21 and my friend who's an M1 called with the good news!

HUGE congratulations! Do you have any idea why they gave you the decision this month instead of last month?+1 OOS A just now!!!! Interviewed 10/21 and my friend who's an M1 called with the good news!
The transcript you have isn’t “official” and could be tampered with (photoshop etc), so they want it directly from your institution. Probably need to order official one from your school and send directly to Umich or through AMCAS.any idea why the portal says not to upload transcripts? i want to show off my fall grades :/ do they want us to submit offical ones to amcas or something?
the elusive IS A! Congrats (from a fellow Michigander)IS A!!!!!

I believe they send them out all at once, sorta like they do with IIs. Also, I'm super confused with Michigan's app review process: there are people who submitted super early who've yet to receive either an II or R even though Michigan has started to send out frequent R waves—does this mean they repeatedly look at applications?Do they send Rs intermittently throughout the day or is it all at once
Yes they repeatedly look at them. Usually the application isn’t as strong as others in the pool (especially those who receive the first II) but still a good applicant, so they push their application back to review later in the cycle. It’s not over until you get the R, so keep hope, some people I knew got in in February and off WL.I believe they send them out all at once, sorta like they do with IIs. the reality is it completely depends on how many accepted students decide to go somewhere else. it would most likely vary pretty significantly year to yearHey everyone, what is the possibility of getting of from the waitlist? I saw on MSAR that they only accept 30/80. Is the data up-to-date?
I believe april 24/25!Does anyone know when second look is/when orientation is? I have a trip planned and was wondering the dates!
