I was also confused why I haven't received a secondary though I was verified in June. Most of these schools use similar systems and similar naming patterns as you might already notice, trial and error got me to the portal: School of Medicine - Login . I created an account as I did for all other schools, email/verification/new password, and voila I got access to my secondary!
I don't know how this will affect my application in the system, but I'm sensing their auto-sender code probably has a bug somewhere so people were never notified even though they already exist in the system. And if this is the case, considering how people should have received them on the 8th and they sent out II starting around this time last year, it's a bit of a bummer that I could already missed the window.

It could be that there was a bug that made the miss a batch they were suppose to send

Don't worry, you haven't missed a window. Pitt isn't in the habit of filling their interviews by the end of July, when strong applicants are still submitting secondaries.

Hi, I'm a reapplicant who got waitlisted and rejected post-II in the 22-23 cycle. I haven't gotten an email from Pitt yet but decided to try my link from my previous secondary invite and it seemingly sent me to this year's application. Do you think it's safe to submit that without an email from Pitt or do I need to wait til I've been formally invited to fill it out?

Personally I would wait and/or reach out to admissions to see what they think.
 
This school is my top choice and it’s killing me that I was verified in May and still haven’t gotten the secondary… trying not to think into it too much
 
Hey out of curiosity, in general, is being complete by late July still considered early for med school?

For the coursework part, do we have to put a course twice in the lecture and lab sections, or is listing it once with the LB designation enough?
 
I holding off on reaching out because I am still working on other secondaries, but I think if you are ready to submit a secondary and are just waiting on an official link, there is no harm in reaching out politely and asking how secondaries being sent out. Like clarify if it is being sent in batches and just convey you are really looking forward to sharing your interest in the institution. And if someone has reached out, let us know if you got a response!

Ye i am like 95% sure has to be a bug in their system, because it doesn't make sense for the gap to be this big from the first batch on 7/8. Especially when it seems like they prioritize submitting early.
 
For course requirement, do we check ‘taken online’ for classes that went online because of COVID? Or is this for classes that are actually remote?
 
I emailed about not receiving the secondary and that we could access the application online without the invite. Here is their response:

"All applicants are invited to complete the supplemental application. Once we receive the verified AMCAS application, our supplemental applications are typically sent within 48 hours. We will resend your invitation to submit the supplemental but feel free to complete and submit your supplemental application if you have already gained access to it."

And then they sent me an invitation. So go ahead and fill them out!

That’s crazy they not even acknowledging they messed up.

Can Confirm!
I submitted mine yesterday. Checked with the admission office and confirmed my application is complete. Still no invitation yet LOL

Yeah, feel bad for people who don't know about this.
 
I emailed them to say I had not received an invitation, and they immediately sent me one.

I just got OOS secondary but it said "reminder" even though I never got it initially- is it worth asking anything? Or just trying to submit it ASAP?

I had the same experience today. Really hoping we are still in the first pool since I had my responses ready the day after secondaries were posted 🙁 best of luck everyone!
 
Does everyone's portal say "Your MD application is complete and under review." immediately after submission/marked as complete? or is there a period where it just says "application complete"? Mine says under review, just wanted to see if it was actually assigned to be reviewed or if thats common.

Wow I just checked and it seems like this happened to me too. Very unfortunate I had to find this out weeks after the secondary was made available.

I am a reapplicant this year to Pitt and I was curious so I logged into the secondary portal from last year without getting an email, and this years secondary app was available for me to fill out and submit. I’m worried about completing it and hitting send if I wasn’t supposed to have access to it yet. Was this the case for anyone else?

I haven't registered for my interview yet (wanna make sure I get my dates straight) but I was also a bit confused on where the sign up for those informational sessions was. Let me know if you figure it out!
