Anyone know the MSTP secondary prompts?
Please briefly describe your research interests, and describe how the opportunities at the University of Rochester fit with your goals for graduate training. Please include names of up to five investigators whose research programs interest you. (no word limit)

Same essay as MD: Involvement in community is one of the pillars of the University of Rochester School of Medicine education. Tell us about a community you identify with and how you are involved with it. (200 words)

is there a word limit?

There is also one for reapplicants:
1. If you previously applied to medical school, briefly describe any experiences you have been part of since your previous application. (Max 200 words)

I added Rochester to my list of schools today (submitted 5/30, verified 6/17), when do you guys think I’ll get sent the secondary?

do you think it's ok to mainly talk about a way I was involved if it was during college and I have since graduated 2 years ago? not sure if it needs to be a current way I am involved

For the community prompt, I have long-term involvement with underserved communities but I don’t personally identify as marginalized. Could I still write about it?

Also, if I didn’t apply to Rochester last year, should I still write their reapplicant prompt? I see some conflicting advice on this. Thanks!
tbh I feel like it would be weird because the questions states "that you identify with" but that is just my opinion

anyone applying to the Early Assurance Program? Or does anyone know more about the program and how many people get in/what the process is like?

for the essays we have to write before the interview, it asks us to list our two most meaningful "non-academic" experiences. Would research count for this, or would that be considered academic?

I believe research would be accounted as "non-academic." The way I see it is, they want you to see your well-roundedness and ability to acquire relevant skills and experiences outside of an academic environment. Unless the research was for a school project or something academic-related, I think it's fair to use.

Thanks, thats what I was thinking too.

I just applied here. It doesn't look like many interviews have rolled out.

Anyone have thoughts if it's too late to apply here? Would I just be donating $100 to the school and $46 to AAMC?

For the interview, the portal says "The interviewer will know your name, undergraduate college or university, degree program and year of graduation and... as well as your 2 pre-interview essay questions." What are the 2 pre-interview questions? I thought there was just one secondary question for Rochester.

When you finish scheduling the II you have to fill out several questions due 5 days before your interview. It’s like a second secondary!

For the two most meaningful experiences, did you write completely new responses or adapt the ones from your primary app?

Where did you hear about these questions? I have my interview scheduled for this week and I didn’t get any email or anything about that
